That's a change in WM6 and affects other devices as well--has something to the with codec I think. For instance, try taking a video with the camera app and then open that with WMP and tap to go full-screen. For me it does rotate correctly.

The only "fix" that I know of is to slide out your kb or change to landscape mode prior to tapping the full screen button.

Again, the mogul has this same issue so it's not a bug in this ROM.

Report a bug and solution:
There still shorts some frames after the first boot or hard reset, such as time zone selection, password setting, etc.

Solution:
There 2 0409.mui files are not fixed with this ROM, they are shellres.dll.0409.mui and shellresapps.dll.0409.mui. I changed them last night, the boot screen works well like WM5, the lost frames appeared.

That is just my solution.

I'm sorry but I did not understand the problem. Could you try explaining it in a different way or maybe post a screen shot or photo to help show what you are talking about in regards to the two mui files?

Thank you.

I could have sworn one time ... right after throwing on a new cooked ROM, the first thing I did was check whether it would go full screen - and it did! It was later on it started the not-full-screen crap. I'm speculating it started after I rotated the screen the first time.

I have it on the top of my To-Check-List right after my next time in the kitchen.

SLIDE-to-UNLOCK --> Only works in vibrate mode

I'm having a weird issue that when I use the Slide-to-unlock feature, that it only uses vibrate mode. I've checked to make sure volume is all the way up on ringer, and that I'm in the ring profile. Strangely, this wasn't an issue with the previous Kitchen version. (I'm running the latest 071117).

Anyone know a workaround or fix?
If not, I just may give up on slide-to-unlock as it's a gimmick anyhow (but good for locking the phone).

HTC Home and Task manager conflicts...

I've had major conflicts with the HTC Home plugin and the HTC task manager from the kitchen (both versions). When I boot up the system hangs when I press the task manager X. This only happens when the Home plugin is installed.

To get around this I installed HTC Home v2.1.1005.722 and the updated Home DLL that removes the ID check for it to display on the Today screen.
cab here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...=v2.1.1005.722

Updated DLL here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...&postcount=185

Updated version by BtT with the modified DLL included:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...&postcount=191

I now use WKTask 1.1.7.0 and find it much better than HTC task manager. Now I don't have any hangups on my phone.

I'm having problems with the battery meter. Instead of a battery icon, I have bars that span the entire length of the top screen. I searched in threads and found no luck. I tried using regedit to perform change in the registry editing the show option from 0 to 1 or vice versus. Any help in removing this bar? It has made my Phone signal bar, evdo indicator/internet connection icon disappear!

Anyone notice that it slooowsss down on activesync during the sync cycle? I have noticed this on all the builds with the new kitchen. It didn't occurr with the Aug 31 Helmi WM6 or the Verizonguy kitchen builds that I remember, and I don't recall seeing any posts about slowdowns during the sync cycle....

HTC Task manager stinks. I've used WKTask since way before the kitchen. It rocks.

only when i sync over usb. its also fun when it "randomly" goes into power save and then wakes up while hooked up via usb.
