Run acbpowermeter and see what your power draw is - give it half a minute to stabilize. Should be around 70mA or less at idle with the screen on. If it is, then you might want to watch it over time and see if you have a data connection that's enabling periodically (those really suck power). If your average power draw is 100+, then you have something enabled that's causing your issue.

Um, I would say, yes, pretty much everyone. The volume on the builtin speaker just plain sucks. There's nothing that you can really do for it. It's been a complaint for all the time it's been out, and the os won't change it....

yah I've seen that.. but I swear I had a rom recently that when I made those changes my volume was much louder. I just can't remember which ROM it was.... dammit....

there are times when I just don't want to use my bluetooth, it's in my pocket or in my truck and I need to answer.

All of your problems sound like usb cable/port issues. I can't explain your "will only charge with the power button turned off" symptom - that one makes little sense. Let's start at the beginning - did you add OEMs or cabs that are not part of the kitchen? Does the top right LED change to solid orange when you plug in your usb cable?

My current install does not have anything installed that was not part of the kitchen. When I plug in the cable, the light does not turn orange. By cycling the 'power' button (top left button) I can usually get it to turn orange and start charging after several cycles. I realize this sounds odd, but when plugged into my laptop, it will only charge when that button is 'off.' As soon as I turn it on, the orange light goes out, the screen dims, and it stops charging. On a regular wall charger, it requires the same song and dance to get it to start charging, but it will continue to charge when I turn the device back on.

I get a smiliar issue with my car charger. It's even gone as far as me getting a message that I don't have a battery installed. So I have to yank the battery put it back in and it works.

I'm not sure it's ROM specific as I had this issue with the OEM ROM on my PPC6700.

I've had charging issues before - but nothing like this. I've had the issue where it won't charge if you reset while plugged in, problems with car chargers, etc. This is now much, much worse, and the added facts that activesync won't work, and that this happened immediately after flashing to WM6 (I synced via usb immediately before the flash) leads me to believe there is a bug somewhere.

This ROM really is amazing! I'm finding that my battery has also gone soft on me, in fact both of them.
But they also take no time to charge right back to 100%. Thinking new batteries are needed before I go and slam the replacment phone or ROM.

Jed,
What happens with a new battery? I don't know this for sure, but I've seen evidence that flashing the phone when your battery is not (at least close to) fully charged can damage it. Thought I'd mention it since I didn't see any mention of a new battery in your posts.
