...Al Gore created the PPC... (imagine that 240x12 pixels)

I'd just like to thank Al Gore for bringing us all a little closer.

How is making a suggestion telling anyone what to do?

How is making a suggestion telling anyone what to do? There are hundreds of differing opinions and suggestions posted on this board on a regular basis. You are the one telling me what to do. I am not bashing the site, and you know it. I am referring to the strong arm spin-doctor tactics you use in an effort to silence free speech and helpful suggestions from the "minority" here. You seem to have it out for me because I am supportive of the few that wanted to offer a suggestion on a banner credit alternative. There must be something incredibly evil and bad about having an option, that some of us just don't see. So, on that note I will just lurk from now on as demanded or if I decide to post, I'll make damn sure to be on the Majority viewpoint first!

It was the "programmer ego" part that was better left unsaid. The rest of your post was fine.

...and he didn't demand you lurk, he said do whatever you want - just don't delude yourself into thinking software development is a democracy.

Thanks for the feedback. You are right, it would have been better left unsaid; but it did make for some exiting reading. The thread got quite popular.

But, I'm not delusional. Since the moderator was spinning my words some, I felt it only appropriate to put in some reverse spin of my own...

Time to move on... Thanks gguruusa for your input and work on the project.

Serously this is just stupid. If you want the banner removed then remove it on your own, does it really matter? I mean how often are you rebooting your PPC, and when you do it only displays for a few seconds. Now if that banner was on the today screen or something then that would be different

Ditto, this thread should be ended, closed. It is kaput! If you've got a problem with something as trivial as the banner, which by the way is easily removed if you're not too lazy to bother looking, then you must have too much time on your hands and are complaint prone.

Admin.... Please close this thread down....

The funny thing is, in the custom boot screen i made, I specifically put Helmi's name on there out of respect of all he's given us.

I redid mine to accomidate the banner. Shrunk it vertically 12 pixels so the banner wouldn't cut off the image. I had put PPCGeeks and Helmi_c on it originally, but have removed those since they're on the banner.
