So please double-check on everything you have chosen in buildOS. One of those OEMs must be adding the option to skip those steps.

I can't seem to get this to work either. I found other entries that said to either modify a reg setting and/or rename the directory on your SD card. I've tried both separately and together. Still can't get the album to see pix on the card.

If I rename the "My Pictures" to "_My Pictures", HTC Album doesn't see it and when I take another pic, the camera app re-creates the old dir on the card. I assume there's a setting to fix that somewhere that I haven't found.

And the instructions I found elsewhere to change the HKLM\Software\HTC\HTCAlbum\default_viewer key from 0 to 1 seems to have no effect on HTC Album locating my pix on the card (including after a reboot).

Any suggestions?

Did I miss something? I'd love to get this app to work with the card. It's not that useful otherwise.

Thanks

Duh - the directions DID say to rename the My Pictures directory on BOTH the card AND the device... Once I did that, it found my pictures on my card. Actually, it finds every displayable picture on both the device and teh card and not just in the "_My Pictures"... it finds everything - including the files in the temporary internet files folder from browsing... Anyone know how to get it to not browse the whole device?

And I also need to figure out how to now keep the camera app from recreating the old "My Pictures" folder. It recreates them on both the device and the card. So after taking another picture, teh album no longer finds your pix. You have to get rid of the folders again on both the device and the card.

Messaging Issue

Morning all,

I am having a small issue with the messaging component. Every once in awhile I try to select mesaages, either SMS or email, but I cannot open the message. If I have multiple messages and try to select a different message it then highlights that message also but does not open it. The resolution to this is to soft reset. Any ideas?

I have configured direct push email, and the normal SMS messaging. I do not use MMS. I am also attaching my selections for my build.

Thanks,
Steve

I am having the same issue. If I hit messaging sometimes it will not open and sometimes when it opens and I try to select a message 2 messages or more are selected. I have to soft reset or let my phone sit for a while and it corrects itself.

Question Memory card is not being recognized

Does anyone have any idea why my memory card will not be recognized randomly. With other ROM's, this would occur very seldomly. When I recently loaded this ROM, it does this at least 5 times a day.

It is annoying because I find myself removing and inserting it too much and it is inconvenient. Anyone else having this problem or found a solution for this?

BTW:I'm using a 2GB SD card so I know I didn't need to activate the "SHDC" option in my ROM.

Copy everything over to pc using a usb card reader, format it, and copy everything back.

Other than that, maybe try a new card.

After loading the ROM and hard resetting, did you let customizations run? If so, don't (reset when the "Customizing in 3 secs..." message pops up).

2 weird things happened..
1. i was running a few applications.. htc audio manager and verichat(from the sd card).. when i started these the prememory was 12mb.. ram left.. after these started it came down to 5 mb.. when the music was playing.. and then the touch screen stopped working.. the buttons worked fine and i was able to change songs too and the songs went on fine too.. and eventually i had to soft reset thru the quickstart menu... and then it became ok after soft reset. and the memory came to 24 mb.
2. i had mentioned before the wndows media player cannot play any song more than 10 or 20 seconds.. it just goes to the next song. whereas htc audio manager plays them just fine.. also i cant get scrolling of the touch flo to work inside the htc audio manager..
these things had never happened in any of my previous builds.. wonder whats going on..
the memory in this thing really goes down as u keep using programs and even closing them ... it came down to 12 mb from 24 in a day or so.. i wonder where the memory leak is?.. i use oxios close applications every now n then to keep it clear..and i hadnt used anything to much either.. i didnt surf much eother just some instant messenger application...

I'm having this problem, too. Have since the first WM6 for Apache.

Anyone out there have any ideas?
