DAMIT.. I couldn't wait for confirmation... sure enough the SIMPLE PIN password screen still locks up nearly every time in this build.

The strange thing I have noticed is that if you enter your pin and hit the Unlock button it appears to just be hung, but if you leave it for like 30 to 45 seconds it finally responds..

Not good for daily use by those of use with network policy enforcment.

AutoCorrection / Suggestion / Name Recognition

I noticed when I had the TouchKeyboard installed as a separate SIP it hosed the name recognition. It still has auto correction for words (as I do currently) but it doesn't auto fill in names for texting...which can be annoying. Anyway, if anyone wants to give it a shot, create a ROM w/o the HTC Touch keyboard and see if it helps. I'll attempt it tomorrow, but my bed is calling me right now

I just set a simple pin and set timeout to 0, suspended the device for a minute and turned back on. Entered the 4-digit pin and got the today screen right away.

Perhaps this problem is specific to policy-enforced PINs? Would you be willing to hard reset your device and attempt to set a simple PIN prior to setting up your activesync and see if you see the same behavior? If you do then it may relate to the mix of OEMs you've included.

Soft reset your device while it is enabled.. then let the password screen fully load. I tested it by just setting the password. It happens nearly every time after a soft reset, and randomly when the device is put to sleep.

Edit:

More detailed Steps to reproduce:
1. Go to settings and lock
2. Select Simple PIN as your password type and set a password of at least 5 digits
3. Soft reset your phone
4. Wait for the device to fully load (IE the tool bar theme has loaded and the phone has found a signal)
5. Now try to unlock the phone with your pin.
