I believe those are Windows XP/Vista drivers to enable to use the phone as a modem. They aren't essential to the ROM, but are essential to get the phone functioning as at modem on Vista/XP.

You may have just forgotten how Voice Command functions. It doesn't need to be associated it with specific programs or contacts. It uses voice recognition to convert speech to text and then performs a match in a relevant list (i.e. programs in program files when starting software, contacts when calls are initiated). The basic usage pattern is... Hit notes button to activate, listen for enter command beep, speak "<command> <list-item>".

Button press, "Call <contact name>" should find a closely matching contact in your contacts list, then confirm to call that contact at a particular #, which can be done by speaking yes or no. Once confirmed Voice Command places a call to the relevant contact, other functionality works similarly.

When using the Phonepad SIP where are the custom word entries stored, if I wanted to back it up or edit it manually? Thanks in advance.

Havin' issues with YouTube. When I click on the "Videos" link that is created with all the different video sites, YouTube comes up, then it sits, and sits, and sits. Just loads. I've tried it in a few different locations thinking that my signal wasn't good and I had a slow connection, but that doesn't seem to be it. It worked ONCE early this morning before I left for work. So I tried it from the same place as where it worked this morning, and nothing. Anyone else having problems with it? Or was YouTube having issues today? I haven't even tried from my PC.

Something else I've been meaning to say....

I really, REALLY appreciate all the work that you guys have put into this. I can only guess what your family life is like, but for you to put personal time into this project, and make probably pennies per hour with donations, well, it's really admirable of you. I've donated a couple times, and will do so again. But what I really want to say, is to the people who say things like, "Oh! I need this functionality! Can you put it in ASAP?". Or, "this doesn't work! Can you fix it now!?!!?".

Give me a god blessed break. It's not a piece of commercial software that you've bought. I don't care if you've donated or not. The donation isn't for the product but for the time these generous people have put into this project. It's a work in progress. It always will be a work in progress. And to top it off, it's not official and probably against the TOS of your carrier. So get over yourself. Be patient. Just post up your issue. It'll be resolved eventually. If you live off your device, then maybe these updates aren't for you. I'm an IT administrator for a big law firm in Baltimore, and I am on call 24/7. But I have other means of getting in touch. If you can't live without it, don't hack it.

<steps off soap box>

Thanks.

Amen, and I echo your appreciation for this project. WM6 for the Apache and the new kitchen is a remarkable achievement. Those involved have combined their talents to create something that actually surpasses anything ANY of the carriers have provided to support this device. Respect those that put in their time and talents to make it, and be generous with both patience and donations.

Slow scrolling in PIE

Can I request that in the next version of the kitchen, the webview.dll from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=337521 is included? This fixes the slow scrolling on large pages (e.g. xda developers forum index). Thanks.

No icon is created by the Quickmenu OEM. Since it's possible to close Quickmenu fairly easily, having an icon to restart it is a big help.
