I did try this on an earlier rom and it worked. However it was not straight from a kitchen. I am using bootloader 2.02 by the way. I tried the recommended post several times to no avail. I seem to lose connection as soon as it goes into bootloader. Any help appreciated.

What OS?

If Vista try turning UAC off or log in as the true "Administrator" account (you must enable it first).

And regardless of OS, try putting the phone in bootloader mode yourself (power+notes+soft reset) before beginning the flash.

I got my XP machine to work for a min, and I have successfully flashed the new rom. I look forward to a fix for Vista. I tried every thing on this board and it still wouldnt work.

You might also try running the bootloader NOT from the kitchen, and see if your experience is any different. The cooked ROM and RUU can be found in {install path}\upgrades\{your RUU type}. Double click the .exe file.

OK, I am trying this in Vista Home Premium. I have tried the activesync drivers for my USB, have tried going into bootloader before updating rom and tried running the rom from its installed folder. I always get the same error that the RUU has stopped working and MS with let me know when a solution has been found (yeah right). My XP machine is on the fritz and I am getting really anxious to get m cooked rom. I have previously flashed Mayers C&S WM6 from this computer with the driver change. Is no one else having this happen to them? AHHHHHHHHHHH

I have Vista Business and the same thing is happening to me. I also have an XP machine so i was able to successfully flash.

I plan on trying the Vista machine again so I can get some info to give to the developers to help them figure out what is happening. Although it's not happening to everyone with vista.
