Re: New BuildOS - Report Bugs Here

In the older BuildOS, use of the Patches directory was supported. I mainly used it to overwrite files with UPX'ed versions to squeeze more space out of the ROM. In the 6.1 Kitchen, this doesn't seem to be working. I have the Patches directory, but it does not seem to be transferring files from it to the ROM. Any ideas?

Add this line to your selections.txt

Code:
PatchDir=C:\Program Files\PPCkitchen.org\BuildOS\Patches
However, it should be noted that UPXing stuff does not provide any more rom space. And, it could actually hurt performance. The reason is that the rom is already undergoing compression when it is built, so use of UPX is really redundant at best.

Re: New BuildOS - Report Bugs Here

Hey guys,
None of my microsoft office programs are working on my phone. When I compiled the rom I remember it saying something about missing a .dll file I think. Can someone direct me where I can get these files? Also when trying to run some of my programs it says they either arent signed or trusted.

The 6.1 rom is a vast improvment of what I had for the 6.0. I just need to get my microsft office apps and others such as ftouchflo working. I really like the threaded sms.
Thanks for your time, help me get this working correctly and donations will be on the way.

Did you install the .net 3.5. If not that may be your problem with the not signed or trusted issue.
