No, even though dotfred's app is called Task Manager it does not really do the same things as HTC Task Manager and the other task-closing/x-button apps. It does a lot more than just registry (though I use it primarily as a reg editor) and is just an overall "must have" app IMHO.

Yes I had a look through the verizon 3.3 cabs and added anything that was relevant (almost nothing) to the verizon extrom OEM in the kitchen. I didn't increment the version number because, well I forgot . I'll do that for the next release but for now rest assured that the verizon OEM is up to date.

I held off on including Arcsoft 4 until we get a well-tested fully working OEM. Even then it will only be offered for Verizon users (does not work for Sprint or Alltel). If anyone wants to proceed with that, go right head.

Please post what version of the bootloader you're running. Also try eliminating anything in between your PC and Apache (hubs, extension cables, etc) and try a different USB port on your PC.

Try putting the phone in bootloader mode first, then connect to the PC and run the RUU. Also, try both the standard RUU and the NoID one (definitely ensure you're in bootloader mode before using the latter).

I'm having some trouble and cannot figure out what to do or where to find it. I'm trying to run this. I'm on vista and my bootloader is version 2.02. When I have the phone on the today I make the ROM and it starts everything up. It gets all the way to what version the 6700 is running and what will replace it. Next it switches to bootloader, but disconnects from the computer.

This is from way back on Page 9. I cant figure out for the life of me how to do this. I found the 3 types of RUU in the upgrade folder. When I click on the folders, I can only get ROMupgradeut.exe to load. It gives me the first screen, welcoming me to the software update utility. I hit next, and it then checks the info on the 6700. Then it crashes. This exact thing happens with both newbootloader and the plain RUU. When I try to NoID RUU, the only thing I can get to run is APACUpgradeUt_noID.exe. This will go until the screen where it is supposed to say what version everything is on my phone and what it will be upgraded to. However, there are just blanks where this data should be...

Does this make any sense? I'm really confused....

Are you trying to do this on a Vista box? I had the same problem. In fact, I couldn't get my phone out of bootloader mode.

I then installed all the kitchen stuff to my XP laptop, moved the phone over to it, and everything went fine. Actually, it's gone fine 4 or 5 times now.

You should not even be in the upgrade folders. If you notice at the top of BuildOS, you'll see the option to change the RUU. By default, it should be on Standard. This BuildOS is designed to be used by anybody, and everybody. The only reason you would even need to actually go into the folders is if you wanted to add an OEM or something. Everything else can be done from within the program itself.

If you run the RUU correctly from the BuildOS, you may notice blanks sometimes. This is normal. If you are flashing with this kitchen, it should say WM6_AKU0.7.0 or something similar. That may be all you see, as long as you see something like that, it's ok to proceed.
