durst, I don't have a true c:/buildOS folder. what I do have is helmi apache wm6. exe folder. In that folder I have a buildOS folder. I copied ppcgeeks_oem rar. to that folder and I clicked and dragged the ppcgeeks_oemrar. to the helmi apache wm6 rar. Then it showed a little screen for helmi and that's where it asked to select a folder to download to. It already has c:/buildOS folder selected. I then hit enter and everything took but when I open up the ppcgeeks shortcut it still says unable to open ppcgeeks_oem rar.

Your post is not clear. It sounds like you installed the kitchen to C:\buildos - the default folder. If so, put PPCGeeks_OEM.rar in c:\buildos.

I didn't look in my local c drive for the builOS folder. Sorry for not following. I see that that's what you meant. I don't know why I was thinking something else. If anything else I must do other than what you implied in post #11 please let me know asap!

can anyone tell me whats the advantage or extra features of .NET 3.5RC2 framework over the 2.0 which we v been using till now? hope it doesnt mean we ll need to install a 3.5 on the comp too once we put it on the rom and on ph to make it compatible? is it still beta? or prerelease? is it sensible to take it in the rom?
thanks

You need .NET 3.5 Framework if you want to run any apps built against it. Unless you see an app that says it specifically requires .NET 3.5 CF or you're a developer planning on writing your own, I would stick with 2.0.
