Hi. I have several questions after reading the walk through.

I have the original Helmi wm6 version installed on my XV6700 -- will I gain any new functionality or just the idea of adding and removing items? The ROM I have was from about the end of August on this forum.

Also, in the OEM directory, you have several versions of com_manager -- any reason not to select newest?

I assume that I do need to check the verizon specific customizations -- is this correct? I have deleted everything out of my extended rom.

You have enroller as not optional, but in Helmi's ROM this has been deleted, is it safe to delete this?

Thanks.

Any reports on the battery drain issue that was present in .06c? I'd love to keep using this but I'm poised to go back to 3.5 since the battery life was nearly two fold over this build.

VGuy...

Is there an easy fix for the auto-input of the names in messaging? The Helmi kitchen is having the issue as well and i know you fixed it in your latest kitchens.

I have experienced just the opposite. I went from 90 to 70 over one of the nights and and normally I go 100 to 40. So I'm not sure why others are experiencing problems with the battery.

I am curious though if anyone can help me on a separate issue. In WM5 when you are looking at your e-mail you can go to menu -> tools -> options than click on the storage tab and tell click the check box to have it store attachments on the mini-sd card to save space. I think with this version it mistakes the extended_rom2 as my storage card. Does anyone know of a way to get it to recognize my real storage card again? Thanks.

I have had an intermittent issue with 0.6c - the battery status/chargning status icon is reversed. When connected via a USB cable the status shows the battery level, once removed it changes to charging icon. Usually it will correct itself over time.

The group effort kitchen is now available so in the best interests of the community I'm "stepping aside" so that we don't have multiple versions of the same rom out there. I will leave this available for those that would like to continue using it or to use it for reference purposes but am discontinuing development on this project.

For the most part everyone has been appreciative of the work I've put in so thank you for that.

Which one do you recommend?

What is the best version now?

Is there anything lost by this change?

Which one are you going to use?

VG,

BIG thanks to you for your efforts on this and for keeping us hungry, impatient WM6 "kitchen mongers" satisfied. You did some outstanding work on this project. It is much appreciated.
