Verizonguy,

Where are the "others" that are working on the official kitchen doing their work? Are they using another forum?

RC == Release Candidate. It indicates that the rom is stable and nearing release status. It means we're near the end of the testing phases.
XIP as I wrote above means execute in place. Mike Calligaro did a great job of explaining it. Read this if you're really interested. By official 0.7.0 I mean that it is not only running the aku programs and resources--it also is running the core of the os.

.06c is ok, if you don't use the infrared beam, stream media from your memory card or have a memory card larger than 4GB, but I recommend updating to RC1 so you're using the true core of the aku.

You are the man verizonguy. I'm really glad someone understands the whole setup and is willing to dedicate their free time to help us out for free. The new WM6 is very slick. I wish though that when we updated roms that I didn't have to go through setting my e-mail all back up again. It is a small price to pay though for update.

Programs Question...
Sorry if this has been answered (I've searched and searched and read and read) but can you please indicate what cabs are in the kitchen? I've seen the fixes, etc. Thanks.

Kitchens don't contain cabs. If you mean what issues have been fixed, all known issues except the password screen quirkiness.

Smile Vendor Extended ROMS

Ok I have a quick question regarding what is in RC1 and in the latest Verizon AKU 3.3. Did the vendor customizations change? I had flashed AKU 3.3, and downloaded the extended ROM to my PC. I would like to know if there is any reason to incorporate this into the kitchen, or just default to the 2.07 customizations.

VZG what a great job. I have been with you since you started this trek and I have really enjoyed it all. I have a great device now that I might be able to put off the purchase of the 6800 for at least 6 mos.

Thanks,
Steve
