Also has anyone figured out why the password or simple pin screen locks up on device setup if you actually try to use it? If anyone has time to address this it would be great. I am unable to figure it out after much trying.

what I did was, I went through the setup without using the pin. Once I add my exchange server, I then activated the pin. Works just fine. The only issue is that once in a while, when i dont use the machine alot, it takes a few seconds to punch in the pin and unlock

Verizonguy, this ROM is awesome. Its very stable. The new plug in is awesome.

One question? Any reason the Microsoft Voice Command is not included? I thought it was standard in WM6?

Thanks again for this ROM

All wm6 roms so far for the apache have had the issue you're referring to. I haven't looked at it yet code wise, but I've found that I experience what you're reporting if I click on next quickly, but if I get to the password screen, then wait for about 20 seconds before clicking next it works.

Have two issues with 0.5 Kitchen.
1. Use Esmertec Jeodek Jave read jar book, can scroll pages down, however, i can not scroll pages up to the top. Have had no problem with WM5.
2. Sometimes click start menu, system stuck a couple of seconds.

0.6 now available.

This should in theory prevent people from successfully overstuffing the rom and getting the rom to the phone resulting in the white screens some people have reported.

The tools I was trialing didn't work out.

here is the changelog entry:
Code:
Changelog
2007.10.27
Made 0.6 available for testing
-fixed Live Search Today Plugin
-fixed custom boot splash screen issue
-reverted to mamaich's tools, trial with v2.0 tools didn't work out for a kitchen application.
-more performance tweaks, including memory card I/O access. need feedback. notice performance inprovement for sd cards?

Ow. You're killin' me. But in a good way.=D> I just finished getting everything setup with my new ROM from the 0.5 Kitchen and it's looking good.
Now I'm going to have to spend some time tomorrow working with this one.

I love the new messaging plugin. I'm not using it since it's redundant w/Spb Phone Suite, but if I decide to stop using that, I'll surely use this little freebie.

I used to think that word completion was a PITA also, but now that I don't have it, I really miss it. Mainly when I'm sending emails/sms msgs to multiple recipients and I have to search each one out or open a contacts list for each one. Much easier to type 3-4 letters of their name and then do the same for the next, etc.

I had Live search working well w/the 0.4 ROM. Haven't tried it w/0.5 yet. [I now see that it doesn't appear to be available on the 0.5 ROM. Oops.]

[NOTE: Your link to the new Kitchen goes to the 0.5 Kitchen right now.]

I've used the msvc (UK-love ger accent) with all the WM6 builds, and it works fine, although I haven't tried it's bluetooth yet...the 3.5 OEMs build in just fine, as long as you don't overstuff the ROM. Could someone add them to the ftp's WM6 Optional_OEMs?
Without .exe file versions, of course.
