Pardon me for going on a tangent, but I need some help/ideas. I have been using the DIY kitchen for quite some time now and love using the GUI, makes sense for me however I keep getting dialer issues when I cook with it, enough to make me drop it and go EVK. I am ready to convert, however with all these updates not sure where I should start. Wish me luck and I'll try to make sense of it and get back in the game soon after I figure out this new kitchen.

Check out that thead nibbley. Good start. Takes you through the EVK pretty throughly. Some parts are already done in the kitchen, some are pretty advanced, but should explain alot.
The two kitchens are not that much different structure wise. Most of the differences are in the GUI. Good Luck and welcome to the EVK.

OMG, there are a ton of differences, I tried just downloading the kitchen from RSTOYGUY without the ext's. Dumping in my EXT's from my files and then it locked up; so I copied the file structor from the defaults and then it gave me an error platform level 1. Grrrrr. Looks like I'm going to have to use his structor and implant each of mine one by one somehow. I breezed over the reading there and it didn't offer any assitance to what I was trying to accomplish, so it looks like back to the drawing board.

Wow that was a rant...I would personally love to see an HD2 wp7 rom.

Android is a good solid rom, and faster since you don't have all the winmo stuff. Android is hot, what the consumer wants. And may just put a hurtin on wp7, and as far as I know won't run on the HD2. Some yahoo might port it, but just a port...

Alot easier to work with. Basically the only setting you need to play with is match your modules with the setting in the top left under Other-MaxNumberOfModules... Much superior kitchen in my mind.

And dunno know about that 3.04 update reeg, my e-mail crawls now...Think I'm going back to carrier/device specific stuff on somethings.

Talking about the stock ROM. Since I never cooked with manila on the TP2, I never knew how much crap it put on your phone.

Problems with t-mobile's network???

Really...My phone seems faster to me. Most noticably when using the dialer....Havent run into any problems at all since I updated.

I have 23123 but it doesnt boot...Whats with that anyways...you figure out why some sys's just dont boot yet rstoyguy. My favorite sys's are 235xx series....But that hasnt been updated in a while... Anyone try the 246xx roms...Any weird things like large font, caller id error etc.

I'm getting ready to restore my external packages and see if it's me. Just have a problem logging in and getting mail, awefully slow....

And I put together 23123 and a bootable 21907 up with the other media share SYS's. SYS_Files I'm running 23123 now, so it's bootable! Seems the tp2 folks are taking out too much stuff I guess. Haven't figured it out, but I have a new source where I can just make my own. Even better!
