In wm6.5 you want modules...(only with a native wm6.5 kernel, which the hd2 does) From my understanding if you dont have a native kernel you can still run 6.5 just you would have to use the files like 6.1.

In wm6.1 you want files.

Has something to do with how 6.5 loads upon startup...Or something like that, I know da_G at xda wrote a detailed explanation which I read once but that was a while ago.




On a side note I might have lots to add... If everything goes good with the rom Im cooking right now. Fully working 3g comm manager switch, High resolution Opera back images, speed increases, and a bunch of other cool stuff that should have been like this on the official rom.

I can't get swype 3.19 to load successfully in the DIY kitchen, I fixed the .dat file, still no joy. Any ideas?

Just finishing up putting the DIY together, and flashing...let me check it out real quick...

edit: works here... In the new kitchen anyways. What SYS are you using?

I was using sys 23566, it works with Swype 3.09, didn't with 3.19.

On a side note, downloaded 23569 put in kitchen and it keeps hijacking the top task bar and bottom windows bar, haven't checked out the 21904, trying to work the bugs in the swype.

Heres some stuff for everybody...

Nothing for speed like I said yesterday my attempts just left the rom unbootable...Oh well its pretty fast as it is..

But I did make some packages for putting the send link in the sms and changing the soft key button to back in HTC Messaging.

A package for actually closing HTC Album when you hit the x button.

A package for 4 row start menu.

And a package for some Opera 9.7 tweaks. Like Hi res preview of previous pages when using the back button. Ability to have 6 tabs open in Opera. And haptic feedback when clicking a link.

The 3G switch in the Comm Manager now works 100%.

Nothing new or super exciting but just some things that I like to have around in the kitchen.


I also uploaded my initflashfiles.dat file. I cleaned up the start menu alot with it. Removed a few folders and Moved some links to better places in the start menu.. Just replace yours in OEM\LEO\0409\OEM_LANG_0409 folder.(That is the EVK Directory not sure where it is the the DIY Kitchen)

I'm just downloading the DIY Kitchen, but here is what I have to share, if you haven't already put it into the kitchen.
There are 3 here, Enable Owner Info, reg tweaks for touch responce, and enable the stock games (bubble breaker & Solitare)

EDIT: Reuploaded the file, damn registries get me every time. For the touch responce it's for the base 2.13. I was using numbers instead of hexidecimal, But fixed.

Woo Hoo,
Swype is working on the 23569 build! And my task bars are NOT hijacked! I see you added back in the stock games so now I have duplicates, it's all good. I have the beta watermark in the build, but I see you added the removal for that as an option. Job well done on the DIY kitchen. I also see that the SPL now shows 2.13.
