I have a hunch that the rom version is located in the xip which didnt get updated in the 3.14 DIY release.
Ive took that update and converted it to EVK, fixed alot of duplicate modules. Im gonna post it when I figure out the splash screen issue.

Im downloading the official update right now and Im gonna take the xip and see if that fixes the problem...

Actually Im gonna upload the EVK 2.13 update now since Im not sure when Im gonna be able to recook and test to see if the right rom version is going to be displayed on the splash screen... I will upload the xip later if that fixes the issue..

Just copy your OEM and EXT folders and delete these folders in the kitchen that are being replaced (NOT ALL OF THEM)..Then unrar the update in the root of the kitchen and it should put everything where it needs to be..

Ive finally been able to cook a really nice and fast rom with the EVK...about time..with all the trouble I was having.

EDIT: took down link.error in OEMDrivers package. Reuping around 5 tonight with a fixed one.

Tomorrow I'll work on a zzzreghack for the kitchen, bed is callin me, work is arriving way to early in the AM.

I'm currently using the EVK, and I checked those registry edits... I'm baffled I guess because those reg's are what their supposed to be after I cook one up. I'm still looking, but really haven't had that issue I suppose...

I think I tried that the other day, disassembled a fresh 2.13 rom and cooked it with no luck. I'm gonna download and play with the above download and see what happens later today. Been playing with a fresh TP2 wm6.5 stock rom putting together a kitchen again, maybee I can revisit this issue and find something, but I thought the xip was it for sure, but am sorta new to the rom/sys thing...

Can confirm that when i used the oemxipkernel from the 2.13 rom it shows correct on the splash screen.

Im gonna upload everything again when i get out of work.. Dont download the one i posted yesterday. It will boot but camera doesnt work. I mislabeled one of the dll's.

Redid it and flashed new rom this morning. But didnt have time before work to reupload the packages. Camera works, evrything is super fast and it shows the correct device number on splash screen.

Reup around 5 or so.

Also when i flashed the rom with the update my phone was sluggish but usable. Then i fixed something like 120 duplicate modules. Recooked with same packages as before and it was night and day. No lag...at all not even on first boot. This could be the issue you guys are talkin about with crappy screen response.

Maybee I was taking it from the wrong place... Dumping 2.13 rom again...

Ok, so 120 duplicate modules? Where did you find these, or where can I find these and fix them?

Pretty much all of the duplicate modules were in the OEMDrivers folder. There was a few other ones (all where in the OEM folder, none in EXT) What it was is the dll,exe, and mui files get turned into modules right. Well either during the extracting or most likely the repackaging of everything you have a folder structure that ends up looking like this. Im almost sure its not the VK that does it though. No I stand corrected just checked. The 2.13 I dumped yesterday has the dup modules in OEMDrivers too.

Example DLL (module folder)
imageinfo.bin
imageinfo.txt
Example.dll <------------should not be here
S000
S001
S002
S003
etc.

So basically whatever program is messing up it puts the file it is supposed to be turning into a module in the module folder if you understand what Im trying to say...

You dont have to worry though thats all fixed in the file Im uploading right now.

Im gonna look through the DIY kitchen I downloaded Im sure I still have the rar's to see what the kitchen structure looks like and Im gonna try and get it all working in the DIY kitchen though I wouldnt be able to actually test it.

Upload is at 60% right now.

Ok, was copying over from an older kitchen....

To fix the splash screen from displaying the wrong OEM version:

If your using EVK ->
1. Delete ..\RUU_Leo_1_5_TMOUS_2.13\ROM\LEO\21903\OEMXipKern el
2. Insert ..\RUU_Leo_1_5_TMOUS_2.13\ROM\LEO\21903\OEMXipKern el

...... ( Should work the same for others SYS versions in ..\rom\leo\xx as well)

If your using DIY ->
1. Delete ..\rstg_DIY_kitchen_2.13\ROM\XIP\OEMXipKernel
2. Insert ..\rstg_DIY_kitchen_2.13\ROM\XIP\OEMXipKernel

That takes care of that little issue.

Now if somebody could help me out. Its really been buggin me and I know its around here somewhere. I need the comm manager with the wifi router built in. Ive tried the reg edit blah blah...Doesnt work...At least not from the kitchen on first boot. Havent tried to edit after. But I really need a working ext for the 8 slot comm manager like in the Elegancia roms.

That and turn off the damn permission crap when I install a cab or run some programs..Im pretty sure its an easy kitchen tweak that is listed in the Sous Chef EVK guide. Im gonna look into that now but if anybody has it done and wants to share real quick thats cool.

Don't have the wifi-commmanager. But this will take care of the other things for ya....

Ok so I still have all the files I deleted in my Recycle Bin...

There is 138.

14 in OEMDriversHigh
2 in OEMMisc
and 122 in OEMDrivers

Takes a while to delete them though......I actually did that on almost every kitchen I tried to get working. Which I dont even remember how many times I started from scratch. Glad thats all over though.

Awesome now Im definatly recooking while my girl is at school. Since its like the only peace and quiet time I get on here.

Looks as though someone recmod'd the packages without cleaning them up. Now correct me if I wrong, but the idea is to take a module and recmod it, and that's healthier for a rom... That's my understanding...
