Re: Want WP7 Mango today ?
My biggest gripe is how they said we'll have to roll back to NoDo before we can upgrade to the official release.
We won't lose any data we had before but we'll lose everything from the time we put the beta on until the official release comes out. If you buy any apps, Zune will keep that, so that's not an issue, but any app/game data will be lost. Hopefully they'll change this by the time the official version comes out and will give us a direct upgrade path.

Re: Want WP7 Mango today ?
Yeah, mine hung at the HTC screen for a while at first boot, probably 2-5 minutes.
For Facebook chat, I had to link it to my Live account on the PC. The URL it tried to bring me to on the phone didn't work, just said it was not a valid address. |

Re: Want WP7 Mango today ?
yea I eventually did that and it doesn't show anyone online. oh well it'll sort itself out hopefully, I was lookin forward to that so I won't have to rely on the shitty FIM app that (still?) doesn't send me push notifications

Question for everyone: Do you lose your text messages? Is the blasted Hidden Wi-Fi issue resolved in this build??? <--- That's mainly the big tempter for me to want to upgrade.

Re: Want WP7 Mango today ?
Guess who's back?! Back again?!
I just traded my EVO in for a Sprint Touch Pro 7 (testing WP7 for work and the Gingerbread update for EVO pushed my sanity level over the edge ... HATE IT), and when I saw this post I was all "WOOT!" and stuff, so I figured what the heck... I'm testing WP7 (finally), might as well REALLY test it, right? So I'm back for a little bit and will post on anything useful I find with Mango. So far, WP7 is only missing a few features that I would care about and Mango fixes *most* of them. I still need a good Remote Desktop application (that supports Network Level Authentication and Remote Gateways), and I'd still like to see support for SWYPE. From a hardware perspective, I really want the HD7S on Sprint, because I refuse to use AT&T-Mo, but hopefully Sprint will have some new devices once Mango is released this fall.

For people with the Facebook problems, Delete the account, then re-add it. This has been posted all over XDA and it fixes 95% of them. Must be a bug that came over. Last edited by DavidinCT; 07-03-2011 at 11:06 AM. |

Indeed, as an upgrade, it doesn't remove any content. The hidden wifi does seem to be fixed... at least for my test wifi connection. Last edited by GoodThings2Life; 07-03-2011 at 03:19 PM. |
