Early WinMo 7 not compatable w/ our current apps

Palm was a worthwhile offering until they abandoned Garnet, and now they're the lowest rung. I don't get why companies do stuff like this, most people don't like sweeping changes. Yeah, WM7 might be new & improved, but you have to learn a whole new OS & have to find alternatives to the apps you've used for years. Eff that. I don't like the way mobile software is going these days, I don't want all-touch interfaces & cloud storage & app stores. In my day, we had 10 different buttons surrounding our screens and 500mhz processors. We had to use a stylus for everything, and gosh-darnit WE LIKED IT!

Didn't Palm offer an emulator to run Palm OS Apps with the Palm Pre?

The Wall Street Journal reported on March 5, 2010 that Windows phones will not be backward compatible. This is a reputable source:

'Microsoft Corp. has said its new software for smart phones, Windows Phone 7 series, is a ``clean break'' with the past. Now it's clear just how clean that break is: The new phones, expected late this year, won't run any applications written for older versions of Microsoft's phone software.'

Time will tell...I think it will be a big deal with past users if all apps dont work. Why even call it Windows phone if it isn't ?

I think we won't have to worry about that. The app makers will just make a 7 version.

Well since Iam a developer I looked up the tools we can use for windows phone7. Visual Studios2010 with NET.COM 4.0. So if that the case all netcompactframework games and apps should work. Remember this is a celllphone war Apple and Google is going to release fake information. People please be smart thank you
