Re: Google Voice Incoming/Outgoing Options!
@MordyT
I have an issue that I can't figure out. Maybe you can shed some light on it: In the set of Rules that I downloaded from your link in post #1, I deleted them (to make room for more rules) except for > 1) E911 2) Google Voice I realize that the E911 rule is so 911 dials out normally, without using GV. So far, so good. I have added 2 more specific numbers to that rule. Both of those numbers also dial out without GV which is great. So now there are 3 numbers in that Rule. Initially, I set up my own Rule exactly like you set up the E911 Rule, but I named my Rule differently. The reason is that I wanted to keep my personal Specific numbers separately from the E911 Rule. But my personal numbers were also going to dial out directly just as 911 does. I tried to set up my own Rule 5 times, but the Specific Numbers were going thru GV. I checked my filters and operations settings multiple times. I deleted the Rule and set it up again multiple times, but I could never get it to work. My Specific Numbers continued to use GV. I finally deleted my new Rule and put my personal Specific Numbers in your E911 Rule, and they worked perfectly. Can you tell me what you think was happening. Did you set up the E911 Rule differently than I am able to? As I said, I checked and rechecked my settings and they were the same as yours except for the Rule name.

Re: Google Voice Incoming/Outgoing Options!
When I first purchased Magicall, I had contact with Song via multiple emails about an issue I was having.
We troubleshot it for a few days with debug files, etc. Song had me add a registry which was > DontFilter2ndCall. You are probably aware of that registry. Song gives excellent support of Magicall. A Huge Plus in my book. Last edited by Biker1; 08-16-2009 at 04:34 AM. |

Re: Google Voice Incoming/Outgoing Options!
Just thought I would share a little tip that I found with all of you guys here since everyone is so helpful. I am on Sprint, and a lot of my family is as well. Instead of having my GV number show up for them I just wanted to keep it all Sprint to Sprint so that none of them need to worry about minutes. Instead of adding a lot of different rules into the mix I went the easy way and made sure all of my contacts were in the "Sprint" category (When you edit your contacts you can pick a category ie.. business, personal and so forth. I created one that I called "Sprint" for obvious reasons.) Then I simply made a rule that was based on category instead of phone number. Keeps things nice and efficient.

Re: Google Voice Incoming/Outgoing Options!
google voice is a great feature to have on any device! But note to self and everyone who reads this please do not setup the account to forward all txts from the number to ur phone and then go to work inside a building that has no cell phone service(the pentagon) and sit and chat on google voice via the web client gui the whole work day without disabling the txt forwarding to ur moblie device!!
i say that because i didnt do it and when i left the building for the day my phone was hit with 217 txt mesages and 5 mms that people had sent to my real cell number(google voice doesnt do mms) i took 10mins for all of them to come though and another 15 for them to file in correct order and if i remember correct used all of my memory!! my touch pro was moving slower than a 6700 with visualgpsce and google maps running!! then i had to delete everything!! i say all this to say dont do this to ur self!!
