so nice try, your still wrong...

so cheating on your taxes wouldnt be wrong, its just cleaver??? just like cheating our carriers isnt wrong, its cleaver..

okay, so i had to stop reading the thread after this. dude, it makes sense that your a law student. u ask 4 peoples opinons then when they give their OPINIONS, u bash them for it. it equals out to me asking you what flavor ice cream you want, u respond with cookie dough. and i respond with.....well for your information i happen to be a ice cream vendor and that flavor is NOT the most popular, my opinion is that chocolate is the best, therefore you are wrong. . . . . . i am king of everything!!!!!

so my OPINION on this debate is that tethering is not illegal. my OPINION is also that tethering for free is not the same as commiting tax fraud. like others have stated....we are paying for the data useage, we have paied for the phones, and everything that comes with it, the software, the registry, everything. so any changes that we decide to make to the software, or the registry is not illegal. the manufacturer may not like what we have decided to do with it, but thats the way it goes.

so my OPINION is that the tethering service that sprint, and the others want to charge u for is not the data, but they want to charge u a sort of service fee for setting you up with it every month. on my touch pro, internet sharing is a feature that htc implemented.....or implemented by windows mobile...i dont really know. but sprint felt the need to cripple that program, and then ask for more of my money to turn it back on. so the users find out how to turn the program on without sprint, my OPINION: if you can do it yourself, then why pay sprint to do the exact same thing.

it would be like me selling you a stove. you paid for it, and you pay for the electricity (its an electric stove btw, lol). but b4 i give you the stove i pull off all of the nobs that are used to actually turn it on. i tell you that i will let you use the nobs, but u have to pay me 10 bucks a month to use them. so would it be illegal for you to use some plyers that u have, instead of the nobs that i want to rent to you?

bottom line, if we violate the terms of agreement, then our cell company has every right to terminate our contract. is what we are doing illegal, my OPINION is nope. we are just providing the service without sprints help.

sorry for the long post, but the fricken law student is annoying. its sad, still in law school and already thinks he or she knows it all. maybe you should run for president.

Theft of service /= Warez

Warez is specifically regarding copyrights and copyright infringement. While tethering and not paying for it is stealing, it's not warez, but called theft of service. You wouldn't call stealing cable from your neighbor "warez" would you?

Re: Warez Vs. Tethering

It is up to your carrier to enforce unauthorized tethering, not ppcgeeks. say I am an abusive boyfriend and sprint is my abused girlfriend. is me beating her against the law? yes. is that relevant if she never presses charges? no. now lets say warez is crack. if I get caught with crack then it is against the law and I will get charged, as well as my crack dealer. ppcgeeks is choosing not to be the crack dealer, however they are more than happy to listen to you abuse your girlfriend.

Re: Warez Vs. Tethering

dark‚ are you saying that you can tether without a hack? but i don't wanna go back and forth. just call sprint and see what they say. why do you think sprint put a cap on internet use? because people are stealing something that they should be paying for!

Saying theft of service = warez was not the original intent of the OP.

yes, both me and my gf (who i DON'T abuse) have been using ICS without a hack since we've had our phones. as far as the cap goes, that's just how much abuse sprint can take before she puts a stop to it.

so you pick on me for asking opinions, then i give my own feedback on their comments, whch most involve questions directly to me, so i answer.. are we agreeing, in most caese absolutely not.. but its a forum, its a debate, were not all suppose to agree... are you going after anyone else in here that stod up for the same side of this topic as me? im glad everythinks im so specail and all but im not the single unit here that agrees with what im saying.. i have about 12 PMs where u guys are secretly agreeing with me, but" i just dont wanna get involved anymore and start a bigger fight by agreeing in the forum.. and these r people that have changed their minds from there original stance of opposing my topic..

so how are you coming to me bashing me for bashing, as u say, other peoples statements where there far more bashing my opinions vs me bashing theirs.. what light are you shedding on the topic here? you stated your own opinion of how u feel about your phone and your carriers available services, cool, more power to ya homie.. your carrier does in fact feel otherwise though and thats been proven..

now statements like the highlighted area.... is there a point, or are you just trying to macth my own level of annoyance as you put it??? because theres nothing but a personal attack on my charactor in that statement.. whch um , hey dude, if you check the forum rules, your not allowed to do that"

4. No Flaming anyone, we are all friends.

you can make the choice to not debate the topic anymore, if you feel im being too "annoying"
