i was gonna say make sure "Enable advanced network functionality" is unchecked...
but then i read your entire post check out this thread or just remove SP3 and see if that helps

well at least you can get it work, if you read the thread i linked you to some users were not so lucky. IMHO activesync isnt really needed though, as you can always turn your phone into mass storage for file transfers and backup your PIM data using a plethora of other methods |

I was having the same problems. Just fixed it. Here's how:
Start > Settings > Connections > USB to PC > Uncheck "Enable advanced network functionality" So tired I can barely see straight. I was working on this for hours. Hopefully that works for you. EDIT: This appears to work for me only when I select "Contacts." I can't sync anything else (calendar, tasks, etc.) Don't know what that's about. Last edited by jjbehren; 12-11-2008 at 02:31 AM. |

Update to my original problem: Now I'm noticing that my ActiveSync disconnects when I have any GPS program running. I'm surprised that no one else is seeing these problems.
