Re: Headset For Jeep

I also drive a wrangler and use the blueant z9. When I first got it people said they could hear me great, but that was only if i rolled the windows all the way up, which is a real pain in the summer when i dont want to run the air. Also another trick i did find was if you turn the air on with the soft top, even on low that it will dampen a little of the noise from the soft top from the air pressure. It helps a little..

Re: Headset For Jeep

The H710 wont work i have tried it. The people on the other end say they hear all the noise from the Jeep. I would really rather prefer the Z9i because of size and charger connection but it is starting to sound like the jawbone 2 is going to suit my needs the best. I guess i just need to pay a little more and buy it someplace I can easily return it if I do not like it. Any other suggestions everyone has been helpful so far.

Re: Headset For Jeep

Just in case anyone else has the question what headset to buy for use in your Jeep here is my 2 cents. I have now tried the Jawbone II and the BlueAnt z9i (along with several others including the H710). I am the happiest with the Z9I in my jeep. The biggest difference I found between the Z9I and the Jawbone were how well i could hear the other person. the people I talked to did not seem to tell much difference in what they heard but with the Jawbone I had a hard time hearing people. With the Z9I I found myself turning it down because people sounded too loud. I know there are a lot of threads about headsets but I started this one because I wanted input geared toward jeep noise(jeep forever) So I am reporting my personal findings.

Re: Headset For Jeep

Just came across this site. Never seen it before, the price on Jawbones is outrageous. Never seen it that low?

http://www.bluedragonmarket.com/cat-jawbone.cfm

Under $60 for the old and the new one.
