Re: Is windows mobile garbage?

I've never experienced either of those problems (Even when I was on Vista). I haven't seen the countless posts about them either (at least I've never heard of reminders disappearing). Maybe there's something wrong with your device?

Re: Is windows mobile garbage?

No problem at all with mine once I stopped using FlexMail. I also use an Exchange server, do the sync thing, use Bluetooth to move things around and sync at home and so forth. As for different ROMs, there are those of us who do not like to play and those of us who do. When I was using the Palm/Centro, I customized mine a lot. With the TP2 though, I am satisfied with the stock ROM and the additions/changes I have made. So, it's what customization can give you that others may or may not want/need.

Re: Is windows mobile garbage?

I would like to think its my device but the syncing problems happened twice on the touch pro and now on the touch pro2.

Im tempted to try a new Rom. But if Ive all these problems with the stock microsoft rom, not communicating with sync, I fear it could get worse.

i never had problems with xp, vista, or 7 may want to check your mobile device center installation, may want to uninstall and then redownload
also, didn't have problems with calendar reminders and i only used stock and MightyROM on my touch pro

oh and skywarp, if you'd be interested in trading to android id be open to trading a Hero for your TP2

This isn't what you have to do. My point was in the 5 years I've had WM, I never had problems like you have experienced. Also, ROMS are nowhere near as stable as a stock ROM that comes on your phone. So no need in voiding your warranty unless you chose to "have some fun".

Everyone seems to have different opinions and experiences with their phones but if I ever had any small issues, wideawake was always there to fix it and guess what, he fixed things Sprint Techs couldn't, so I think it's kind of all in what you know or who works on your phones to a certain extent ya know?
