Why do you need the phone to fix it?
It seems there is one or more .NET CF 3.5 files missing...
If there's anyway to check which .NET CF files should be there, and compare it to the ones in the ROM, shouldn't that solve it?

To be honest, I have swine flu right now and dont feel like touching a kitchen. My 1.52 was my final rom and I stated that when releasing it. I wish I would have know about the bug sooner and I might have been able to fix it. I have retired from the Treo Pro and it is time for another Treo Pro user to step up and start cooking.

It's just such a great ROM, and just has that one issue...
Wish we had some way of getting it to work.
Is there any way to manually remove the files that won't let me install the cab?
Or once they're in the ROM, they can't be removed?

No one owes this to us. Just go back to the original version. it's bug free and works just as good. That's what I did. I'm happy with it. I'm using SPB mobile shell 3.5 and it rocks. I used DINARsoft Memaid (google it) to optimize the phone for memory and dll's. I have 72-77% free memory. This is as good as it's going to get for the Treo Pro. Next month, I am debating whether I want the Hero, Moment, Pre, or Touch Pro 2.

I'm just trying to figure out what I should do...
Once you're up to it, do you think you'll be able to, and willing to, fix the ROM?
Or should I just go back to the first version?
If you have plans of fixing it, I would wait...
If not, can you give some info on how to do those fixes you did to the 1.52 version, to the 1.0 version (assuming they can be done by registry changes, etc)?

There werent reg fixes between releases, they were hex edits of files in the XIP and the changing of packages. As for figuring it out, it should be just the .netcf but I no longer have a device or 6.5 kitchen for the treo.
