I had problems too. Here's what made it work for me. Start the Hard-SPl app and keep going with the steps till your at the last one where you get the tri-colored screen on the phone. Don't start the flashing process just yet. Disconnect the cable and plug it back in. The phone should be detected and then hit next and it should flash.

Re: Panther_CDMA (treo pro CDMA) Hard-SPL is here now!
I was finally able to unlock my wifes phone. I tried downloading the files with Internet Explorer and d/l them to the desktop and tried everyhing over again. I dont know if I had a bad d/l the first time or what but phone is unlocked and now running 6.5.1. thank you for your hard work getting the program to work, and for cfay for the testing. The flashing of the ROM went alot better since I just reneamed the .nbh file and flashed from the SD card (fasted and easiest way to flash). thanks again

Treo Pro Ringer Update will not install
I unlocked my phone and tried both of the new 6.5 ROMs. Since then I have gone back to the 6.1 ROM by using the 1.04 update for now. I was not sure if I needed to reinstall the Treo Pro Ringer Update so I tried. It errors out saying Incorrect Software Version install is aborted. Do I need to install this update or is it there because of the Sprite backup I reinstalled? Also, does this mean that by unlocking our phones that we will not be able to install any new Palm updates?

David,
You will still be able to install any up-dates Palm may release. However since Palm has essentially discontinued the Treo line here forward, I doubt we will see anything official from them. |
