CFay 6.5 Rom! CEOS 5.2.23409 ! Windows Mobile 6.5.1!

All of my 6.1 programs work with 6.5 so far...seems like it's pretty much reskinned 6.1. I've not seen a Telus Treo Pro stock rom mentioned anywhere.

When i flash the ROM will i lose all my contacts and messages and stuff??? Or can i run ActiveSync before i flash it, and resync my stuff back after?

You will more than likely lose your text messages...contacts and calendar stuff should all reload through active sync...depending on your settings. I used microsoft myphone and sprite backup too.

You CAN use Microsoft My Phone --- It'll back it all up

Trying to flash now... Keeps getting stuck at 0% and says it has communication errors... I also had to manually do the SSPL and RUU... What am i doing wrong?


Edit: I keep getting the same problem... The update of the ROM will begin... Stay at 0% for around 5-7 minutes... and then give me an UPDATE ERROR.... I have nothing else open on my pc so I'm not sure what is going on.

Overall, I like this ROM. However, there are a couple of things that are bugging me. For one, there is no place (that I can find) to enable/disable the Keyguard. Another more serious (to me, at least) irk is that I can't find anywhere to enter user information. I need to have this entered in order to be able to register my copy of Resco File Explorer. Another thing that has been mentioned already is that I would have liked to have Sprite Backup on here. All in all though, I do like this a lot and look forward to seeing what is sure to be coming down the road from all the cooks out there.

I finally got it... After pressing the Camera button and power button and soft resetting it... It went into the proper boot loader... Loaded up the RUU and it flashed right away... Thanks so much cmonex.. I'll be donating this weekend...


Edit: How do you turn off screen lock when in a call, cant find it anywhere.

Does anyone know how to get the additional icons in the Settings/Personal section? I noticed it is missing the Input and Owner Information. The 6.5 rom has those options. Is there a registry entry so I can turn on at least the Input link? I like to adjust the SIP settings and type rate. I can do those in the registry but it sure would be nice to have the gui available.

Also has anyone noticed on the home screen you can touch the top bar with icons and they get bigger so you can click on one of them. But when you are in a program or other screen other than the home screen, touching them does nothing?

Also when you are on a call there is an annoying scroll bar. Any way to get rid of it?

Any news on how to disable to the lock feature of the treo pro so we can use the new lock feature in 6.5?

Everything works flawlessly... The camera button was working for me right after i flashed the ROM... but i did a sprite backup so I wonder if it knew to put that button feature back in...


Only one small problem and that is when your in a call the touchscreen locks, and you have to use the buttons to maneuver so unlock it. 6.1 Had a simple button that said enable screen during call... I cannot find it anywhere... Can anyone help me???

To permanently unlock the screen during a call there is a regedit you can do...look on the thread related to the other 6.5 build rom. It's really simple but if you haven't edited the registry before you'll need an application and need to do a little research.
