Hope this helps, also i would recomend against putting them in the oem folders of the kitchen as you can not easily disable them this way. Best to move the folders in the oem folder to the files folder of the root of the kitchen...e.g. c:\tp2\kitchenname\files

Once they are moved here load up the kitchen exe and choose number 3 then number 1 this will convert your oem's to ext packages. Then place then in the ext\shared\packages folder, now you will be able to include / exclude them easily and edit app.dat and .reg easier.
thanks a bunch. found them on my desktop (i guess since the kitchen folder is there, it put an oem folder there). this makes much more sense now. so I can put them in the same place i put some other cabs that i converted to ext. that makes sense.
so technically, you could make several oem ext's and then turn them on or off in the kitchen.
makes way more sense than it did last night.
now if i could just find some sort of autorun that will install all my games onto the SDcard, i'd be all set.

i suggest you do some real research on how the ervius visual kitchen works and what to do with it
if that real research was more readily available, i think we all would. but when you come into the game late, not many people want to take the time to explain how to do things. there is no wiki or complete how to guide that I have been able to find.

I remember you said you were still cooking with VK1.51. Did you update your VZ EXT to one out of the 1.6 VK?
Calk fixed the issues with the VZ Carrier EXT starting in 1.6R1. I can't be certain but he may have made the connection GUID's match with what Arcsoft has in it's settings or vice versa.

you could try iss essentials package that i got from handango. there is a free 7 day trial and the cost of the whole thing was 9.95 but i got 20% for trialing it.
it came with a file explorer pro (main reason for using it, file explorer was freezing up on me), reg. editor, task manager, battery bar across top of the taskbar.
the task manager places a small arrow on the left of the taskbar so when you click on that side, it drops down, you can close tasks, processes, etc, and also switch between programs. the arkswitch was hit and miss for me, sometimes it would open, sometimes i would get the notification drop down.
also with the iss package is a scientific calc, and a couple of games.

you'll have to create the link manually. for some reason, skyfire doesn't come with a windows/start program/programs link. even when i added it to the oemizer, it didn't have a skyfire.lnk in it. a couple of programs were that way, skyfire, and twikini are two that i can remember.

and I don't know how to make a skyfire.lnk or the app.dat for it, so I am doing it the way you did.

i can understand using the xda_uc for custom roms you download, but in a kitchen, why not just put the programs straight into the ROM?

grab the shortcut that you made from windows->Start Menu-->Programs etc and drop it in the files folder of you skyfire ext. next you have to edit the app.dat file, you can use notepad on your pc. add in this:

Directory("\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Connection"):-File("Skyfire.lnk","\Windows\Skyfire.lnk")

i have skyfire in my "connection" folder in my start menu as you can see but you can put it wherever you want
this is where i get stuck. i cannot open app.dat files to edit it. can you open it in notepad?
