why? unless your building a full out loaded to the teeth rom its not needed and even then you prolly still wouldnt need it.

Depends on what type of compression you are talking about. Some types of compression (like CFC) actually can speed up your device.

I guess it depends on what you are doing. I don't feel it slowed down the normal operation of my phone. It did seem a little slower expanding the quick links. It's a toss up between maxmanila and cookie's HTM. I wish I could have the best of both mods. I'll give cookie's at least a whole 24 hours then decide what I like best. I need the expanded appointments on the home screen. That's the reason these mods are important to me. But, to each their own.

Are you kidding? Haven't you ever had an 'out of mem' problem with an app?

I always use LZX compression in Calks's kitchen, including manilla, and have never had a problem.

With manilla and preloading things like Opera, you just about have to use compression to have any reasonable amount of program memory left.

nope never had a lack of memory problem on the tp2 or diamond. last time i remember having that problem was on a verizon 700w
