An update on this kitchen causing my phone to lock up...

Same sort of thing is still happening. I cooked a 28xxx ROM last night, didn't cook in any custom cabs, just removed a few things (chome editor etc) and built the ROM as is.

Flashed it last night and headed out. Less than an hour later the phone was locked up. Turning it on would reveal the home screen stuck at the time it froze, the time in the task bar was correct though. I soft reset it and it was going fine again for a bit.

30 mins later, it locked up the same way again. I soft reset it and dropped it back in my pocket. Checked it 30 mins later to see it stuck on the loading screen. Soft reset again and it got stuck on the fake bios screen. Soft reset again and stuck at the touch pro 2 splash.

Hard reset and let it sit. It froze up again over night. I reset it this morning and stuck at the touch pro 2 splash again. Another hard reset and I remove my SIM and SD card... got it up and running and came here to post. Went to open Opera and it froze while loading. Soft reset and stuck at the touch pro 2 screen again.

Hard reset again and here I am. Sigh. I will post up my ROM and erv in a couple hours when I get home if anyone is willing to try it to see if its my phone or my computer. This sucks.

Sounds like you might need the flash to stock but also... MaxManila3.0 was causing those kind of lockups for me. Wish the AlbumTab worked without it though.

I did have this same issue. I pulled one off a rom I dumped and everytime I tried to add it to the kitchen, it would stop on manila load and say tap here to load. I ended up downloading one some pages back and used this one. I compared to the one i had made and it was the same so it must have had some corrupt files. The one back some pages did work for me. i found your link a few posts back and downloaded. i also extracts the 1.51 kitchen again. i didn't add anything other than your info from the files. and the result is the exact same thing. will not load sense. i did notice that for some reason, i don't get asked to setup the SIM by pressing ok.

i guess i'm going to trash the idea of including it. thanks for the help.


Edit. ok. it works in the newer kitchen but i wasn't gonna use the new kitchen because photos and videos don't work...oh well..

Calk just posted a CAB fix AlbumTab. Working fine now with no Max Manila. Look back through his posts.

yep yep. that fixed my problem too...gotta a question tho...what would happen if i made the cab into an oem and cooked it in? would it solve the kitchen's issue???

Try cooking system build 23534 with windows mobile 6.5.X with the 2.5 manlina sense. My system is running pretty good the only problem I have is it does not install some of the java applications it does install opera mini but not facebook. But the windows mobile version of facebook should be good enough. I like the java version of facebook because you could write on the walls smoother without any delay.

As long as the kitchen installs you new OEM after the sense package...

When I install application via java I get an opera invoke error. Is there any way to fix this so I could install the java version of facebook. I am using system build 23534.

Apology in advance, I have spent hours searching, for what will be no-doubt, be a simple fix. There is much information on the various sites that all give slightly different information, none of which I can make work.

I haven't used the kitchen for some time, (way back in the "SDAutoRun" not "RunCC" days"). At least 2 months ago when the "old school" way was still supported, at least in part.

I have now switched back to this kitchen, and have everything working...but not my few cab files I need to install to complete my configuration.

So, I still have a file called "SDConfig.txt" in the root of the microSD storage card with references to \storage card\cabs\myfile.cab (one for each cab).

What do I need to do so my cabs can be automatically be installed?
I assume there is a new method, structure, etc.
