I forgot to add in "Enable Manila Settings". Does anyone have a cab of this, or tell me how to stop the 'other' (Miscellaneous Settings) button from locking up the phone.

wait a sec. I just took a look at the reg file.. which is pretty much the only thing in that package.. It doesn't seem to be related to that crash.. Is anyone experiencing that lock up?

Well, that didn't do anything. What changed? I remember the thing working (on a previous flash).. displaying advanced configuration as one of the tools... err miscellaneous settings rather.. but still. its aggravating to have that always lock your phone up.

If I want to go about installing a cab at first boot as part of the config_operator.txt, how would I get the cab to be placed into the Windows folder(or anywhere else on the phone) so I could point the txt file to it?

Use oemizer to make an oem http://tiermann.net/index.php?option...sktop&Itemid=3 and import the cabs which you can specify them to be dropped into the windows root. You can then covert the oem to an ext. This will make your rom bigger though. You are better off saving space and putting your cabs on your sdcard and installing using runcc

That's pretty awesome... But I figured out a simpler way... Can you just tell me what file is copying the Calkulins_Touch_Pro2_Tweaks.cab to the windows folder?

If you can find that in the kitchen (the cab file that is).. just edit the initflashfiles.txt that copies over some backgrounds.. Hell, delete a background you don't like if you want to save space.. just make sure to take that line out of initflashfiles. I don't see any reason why that wouldn't hurt.. I've copied a ringtone like that.. Hell, all I had to do was put the mp3 in that OEM_MISC (i think it is) folder and it copied into windows dir.. I don't like doing that tho..
Once its in there, its not removable.. Which means you won't lose it on a hard reset.. but still. duplicate stuff.. yuck. not very nice.

That was my first thought... But the initflashfiles.txt in OEM_MISC(Where the tweak cab is) doesn't include anything about the cab...

put a file in there, cook the rom.. then use htc rom image editor to take a look at the results. No flashing needed. That initflashfile just copies those jpgs (i think they are jpgs) to the wallpaper directory.. Except the files in the wallpaper directory are not listed (in terms of file attributes) as ROM files (cannot delete, will survive hard reset).

I really wish this command made a 'link' to the file ala Windows 7 libraries.. But I think its just a copy.
