Re: [ Kitchen ][ 2-4 ][ v1.5 ][ 28223 / 21891 / 21056 ] Calkulin's Visual WVGA Kitche

i think the maxmanila issue is having to do with an uncompressed or compressed version of manila. usually these mods work well with uncompressed (cfc) versions but i dont use max manila so i cant say for sure

still though footprints should not be here and it is in my version so im not sure whats up

I ran the 2011 files directory thru the decompressor and I ended up with something that is more functional but still has graphical issues(it looked similar to when I replaced a bunch of the manila files with Topaz ROM versions, as mentionin a prior post). I did try Max on Mal ROM and it had the same exact issue so I dunno at this point.

**EDIT**
I GOT MAX MANILA 3.0 TO WORK

Thank you Deimoss! It was a compression issue. The reason it wasn't working even after decompressing the 2011 folder was because I had to also decomresss ALL the Manila 2.5 options that I was including in my ROM as well. That included the clock, Top and bottom transparent bars and even the flamerise background.

So for anyone who wants to get this to work, here's how.

1) Start the kitchen select option 4 then 2 for CFC GUI

2) Within the program Select the EXT\Shared\Packages\Manila - 2.5.2011.3030.0\Files folder.

WARNING: this will decompress everything IN PLACE and IMMEDIATELY. So if you wanna keep the compressed version, make a copy of the directories BEFORE doing this.

3) Click Tools|CFC Decompress

This folder will now have all decompressed manila files.

Now, you MUST do steps 2 and 3 to EVERY Files folder of whatever 2.5 MANILA OPTIONS - 2.5 Packages you are including in your ROM.

After this, close CFC GUI and then build your ROM. If you see anything wierd in Manila, after building the ROM it's probably because you didn't decompress the manila files for it.

Re: [ Kitchen ][ 2-4 ][ v1.5 ][ 28223 / 21891 / 21056 ] Calkulin's Visual WVGA Kitche

Hey glad to hear you succesfully got Max Manilla working with something baked in the kitchen, it honestly goes to show how versatile the material in the kitchen is. The tools folder has many great options such as spin relocking, cfc etc Calkulin deserves many more thanks than he currently has and by the way thanks for giving me my 500 point Rep mark hehe

now if i could only squash my own bugs..
-music manila auto rotation =off
-and black background after flash on manila home page
-remove footprints remnants
Well back to the SuperBowl hehe

Deimoss - good call!
Chuck - way to figure it out!
However, why is it affecting this kitchen and manila, we haven't had to do this with previous manilas. I know 2011 is new, but the supporting packages, i.e. transparent curtains, etc. isn't new is it?

TMartin - How do we disable the music auto landscape?

Not sure why we have to do this. It may just be based on what Max had included in his package. Perhaps it was compressed prior.

What you could try is actually compressing the MaxManila 3.0 package instead of decompressing the others and see if that work. I have not idea if it will but if it does, it would make things a lot easier, having to only compress one thing instead of decompressing many.

That makes since. You gotta figure that 2.9 worked pretty well, so why such a drastic change? Well, I'm just glad you got it figured out.

Edit: Compressing the Max Manila package didn't make any difference.

Na man, I have it too. With the new 2.5 2011. In fact I have issues with the HD wall too. It will install on the curtain area but the main window is blank. Not sure what is going on but good to know it's not my phone.

Re: [ Kitchen ][ 2-4 ][ v1.5 ][ 28223 / 21891 / 21056 ] Calkulin's Visual WVGA Kitche

Hey Calk. thanks for the updated VK. I'm really digging the 2.5.2011 packages and a bunch of them work great with 1922 (which, so far, is my fav).

fyi - I'm using your new SYS & ROM folders of SYS28223
- I have the 75MB free (like VK1.5 users do) and I'm rockin' 610+ Modules
- And the following packages along with 2.5.1922 in your 1.4VK
Code:
System - Comm Manager 2.9.T.1
System - Full Screen Player 1.8.2011.3022.00
System - Streaming Media 3.1.2011.3125.00
System - DShow 2.0.2011.1632.00
System - mHub VO 1.8.091221.X1
Applications System - Notification Enhancement 3.5.2011.3127.00
Applications System - Volume Control 2.2.2011.2128.00
Applications - Arcsoft MMS 5.2.12.45
Internet - Opera Mobile 9.70.35758.0
and a few more...
It's fast... It's stable... and batterylife is suprisingly good. Thnx agian.

Oh yeah, here are a few Manila2.5 options that I CFC'd and a couple tweaks.
[MOD] Custom Manila 2.5.1921/1922/2011 Sliders
Cheers!

Sup, quick question for the SPB users.

Any of you guys using 23529 and having problems connecting and getting facebook integration working? I cooked in opera 10.0 and I'm thinking that might be it but I just got this all set up so I'd prefer not to have to redo it if anyone knows.

I am in the same boat, I have had this problem with 235xx builds the 28223 build I am able to no problem all the same exts cooked in. I tried using the 28223 Browsing sys packages but it did not seem to make a difference. Anyone else chime in that would be great.
