I guess I kinda jumped in here a little too late on Max Manila issue but the fix is a lot simpler than uncompressing all the manila files. Being that Max Manila includes a modded mode9.dll, all you have to do is hex edit it to see the libgles_mn.dll(for compressed) instead of libgles_cm.dll(for uncompressed) or if you run the patch manila option in cfc_gui, it will automatically do it for you.

Also for those that don't know, there is a hex editor in the kitchen in Tools\xvi32, just open the mode9.dll and search for libgles

Of course there was an easier solution, but I never find it(I just don't know enough about this stuff). I always seem to find the longest path to a resolution :\

Guess I'll rebuild tonight with compressed since I'm assuming compressed is faster overall.

Well, for future reference, there are 2 files that need to be modded to see the libgles_mn.dll for compressed manila files, which are manila.exe & mode9.dll. Now if you hex edit the manila.exe manually, most of the time it won't let you save it, so you need to save as manila.exe onto another folder, then overwrite the original

So for the case of getting MaxManila to see the compressed files, do we also have to hex edit manila.exe or just the mode9.dll file?

I only hex edited mode9.dll and it seems to work fine. Thanks Calkulin!

Here's a new version of the package for Max Manila 3 with the fixed mode9.dll that should work (I'm currently using it).

Hey calk, wondering if you had a chance to see what I had read. I'm using 23529 and facebook integration just keeps saying connection failed before I can enter my login info in SBP mobile shell, any advice or is it looking like a reflash is in order? I really like the speed and stability of 23529.


Also, just curious, what music player is everyone using? Coreplayer? I find that it starts to freeze seconds for a split second or two when I start scrolling through my library. Again i'm using SBP now so thanks all to the manila people but I'm tryin something new.

The mode9.dll is the only one included in Max Manila but I said that for future reference just in case someone in the future tried to use a different manila.exe with compressed manila files

I don't use SPB so I can't comment. Next flash I'll try it but that maybe a while as my grandma feel last night and she is in the hospital, so I won't have a lot of free time any time soon
