Why don't you just go to start\tools\phone\ and slect disable htc phone skin. Soft reset and there you go.

if i do that and add the skin i want it would work?

disabling the htc phone skin will give me the WM phone... so i add the skin over that?

i am also looking for something to convert cabs into EXT to add to the kitchen.

Here is the cab converter I use README.txt inside tells you what to do.

Works fine for me with my haxored 23519 sys I tried a wirl at 28223 but keep getting htc log errors. Plus it does not have threaded email or is missing some of the threaded email parts. =)

Sorry I meant on 28223, the 6.5 lockscreen doesn't work properly. Calk said you need to replace the lockscreen.dll but when I replaced it with one from 28217, it didn't work...

Works fine for me in 28223. Using SmartLock (wish I hadn't cooked in 1.7 though - I like 2.0F better). Just SO SICK OF FLASHING!

On the plus side: Before I switched to the newest kitchen, my data stopped working. It's working again so far. I'm still getting all my texts and tmail doesn't seem to lock up like it did before. Also, the alarm seems to work.

Let's hope all of this lasts, I almost abandoned this kitchen. Too many unanswerable problems

Edit: BRB, gonna hop on the netbook - has the kitchen on it, I'll upload the .erf or whatever the saved ROM file is from there.

Edit 2: Ok, here... Start menu icons are all jumbled up, so if someone can explain how to fix that, it would be appreciated. Otherwise, this works great for me. This actually is a .zip, just did that so I could upload it.

Well idk about the start icons but I figured out why my lockscreen wasn't working. I had made the HTC lockscreen into a cab from the EXT and that was causing the issue. I guess 28223 doesn't like the HTC Lockscreen...

So I would like to cook in a few items...I used the .cab converter from a previous post, but when I toss them in the EXT folder they show up in the kitchen for a option, but they do not cook in to the rom. Could someone tell me how to properly do this?

I was also wondering if there is a way to add folders to the start screen to put my programs in...ie. Multimedia, Internet, GPS...and so forth.
