yes, mine displays the same ball symbol. There are newer radios out there it seems. Can a newer one be modified to work?

I'm back...
I can get it to connect in manual mode, but never in automatic. I waited for it to connect in manual, then switched it back to automatic, and it stayed connected. (I never had it connect on the automatic setting before, that must be what someone meant by 'tricking' it).
Anyway, walking about the house a bit made it lose it again. There is something a little different, though. Alway before (when set on Manual) it would just show up the icon for a dead signal on the top menu bar, but now it shows the three dots, thinking icon on the top bar.

I actually never noticed that. I'll have to see if mine is doing the same thing.

Well, I reflashed the Sprint 1.96.00WU Radio and am still having the same problem as before. I'd like to try flashing the 2.05.00WU radio, but my work firewall isn't allowing me to download it.

Those radios are for the gsm version of the phone, not the cdma like for Sprint or Verizon for example.

UPDATE : IT TURNED ON FOR A SECOND AND SHOWS THE >> TOUCH PRO 2<< Screen and then shut right back off..

Reset Button is usless....

but now its on it took nearly 5 minutes while i frantically and now it just gets to the windows mobile screen and yet again shuts off...this is bullSh**T =[...

if i cant get it working today will just get an advanced exchange done

MY Battery was dead -_-... wierd but ii did try the canadian rom and same problem...

it did reconnect once but then didnt after the 1st time ...

i drove from yonkers ny to staten island ny and with phone on phonecalls it does the same thing

Still doesn't work for me. I've tried stock roms, I've tried different radios. I tried going throug the unlocker thing again. I've tried about every possible combination of settings in the phone settings. It still drops the network as I move around...

I think the telus or vz are going to be the newest. I miss flashing radios but since it has to be a patched WU for me to use my tmo I am stuck with the 1.96. If you care to share what to patch on the nbh to make the radio WU let me know in a PM.
