I just did the following:

Before:
-Phone: Sprint Touch Pro 2 with T-Mobile SIM card inserted
-Rom: [11-28-09] [ROM] MR.X WM6.5 V1.6.5 [Build 21864]
-Radio:1.96.00WU (Sprint stock edited)
-SIM unlocked, Security Unlocked, Hard-SPL

After:

-Phone: Sprint Touch Pro 2 with T-Mobile SIM card inserted
-Rom: Telus_Rhodium_W_Stock_1.19.661.3.exe
-Radio:1.96.00WU (Sprint stock edited)
-SIM unlocked, Security Unlocked, Hard-SPL

Results:

-I did a clear storage immediately after flashing to the Telus ROM.
-I did not reflash the radio yet.
-So far I am getting the same exact results as before. After setting the phone to GSM only, the phone did not pick up a signal while "GSM Network Selection" was set to "Automatic." After setting it to "Manual" I was able to register it onto the T-Mobile network and get a signal. Since this is a WM6.1 ROM, there is no "Band" setting in the "GSM/UMTS Services" tab, so I don't know if that could be an issue.
-As for data, it's also still not working. I deleted the default Telus connection and created a GPRS/3G connection to epc.tmobile.com, did a soft reset, but the connection did not work.

I'll try reflashing the radio and keep you posted. I'm currently at work, so it might be a while. Thanks again, Olipro.

Thanks for trying those. I am looking forward to see more results. Mine doesn't work for AT&T as well. Tried 3 different roms, including mighty and stock rom.

well i just flashed the and my phone wont turn on now ...it shows the light that its charging but that all i tried hard and self reset and nothing.... any ideas


UPDATE : IT TURNED ON FOR A SECOND AND SHOWS THE >> TOUCH PRO 2<< Screen and then shut right back off..

Reset Button is usless....

but now its on it took nearly 5 minutes while i frantically and now it just gets to the windows mobile screen and yet again shuts off...this is bullSh**T =[...

if i cant get it working today will just get an advanced exchange done

Olipro, I tried the Telus ROM
Test results: I just flashed the TELUS ROM:
Telus_Rhodium_W_Stock_1.19.661.3.exe

I reinstalled this Radio:1.96.00WU (Sprint stock edited)

I walked about the house a bit and it lost the network again and wouldn't pick it up. It must not be the US ROMs causing the issue. Is there a newer Radio version that might be the answer?

Sprint touch pro2, trying to use on AT&T USA network

If you set your GSM to manual, then register on AT&T, then set the phone back to Automatic, does the problem still happen? I can't really try that here at work since theres really nowhere to walk around to.

Update on Telus ROM:
I just tried the 2. 2.05.00WU (USCC test edited) Radio with the Telus ROM, and it is still dropping the network.

I tried it in this way, did not work. Still could not pick up the network after it drops.

I'm back...
I can get it to connect in manual mode, but never in automatic. I waited for it to connect in manual, then switched it back to automatic, and it stayed connected. (I never had it connect on the automatic setting before, that must be what someone meant by 'tricking' it).
Anyway, walking about the house a bit made it lose it again. There is something a little different, though. Alway before (when set on Manual) it would just show up the icon for a dead signal on the top menu bar, but now it shows the three dots, thinking icon on the top bar.

I don't think it's dropping the connection but more like the radio is crashing and then connection is then dropping. Since when the phone loses connection it is not displaying no service, but instead it is displaying a ball symbol instead.
