Humm.. I may have to break down and do this, however I personally LOVE the HTC messaging app. If I could get those 2 things resolved it would be perfect for me! Hell I can even live with no signature! If I can just get the damn thing to let me send a txt to a phone number by typing in the name then I would be satisfied!

Yea i hate that too, i usually just type in the name and select from list, ill try and get that fixed by next release.

I did a soft reset and my program memory is back up to 74 mb.

Hey! Thats what I want to be able to do! Do you just type the name into the "To" box? Or do you have to go to "Menu/Add Recepient" to select a person? Im all good with typing the person in the To box and selecting them, for some reason mine wont work that way tho. It will only show email addresses for people. It wont show phone numbers. Does yours do this?

i just type it into the box, as long as you type the name exactly as it seas in your contacts then you can send a txt to them.

Hummm.. for some reason that is not working for me. It is only allowing me to send to email addresses even if I type the name in exactly how it is in my contacts. I wonder why... I have tried multiple hard resets and everything. I assumed it was a bug in the ROM, however if YOURS is working properly........

+1 on the ringer issue have tried installing the diamond volume and 5 hard reset no luck

I have the 2.1 version but Im having problems with SMS too. This fix is only for 2.5?
I will send a reply to an sms and not see it until I leave to the inbox. Then when I will go back to a message it might be blank a few times. Plus the left softkey in an active message opens the dialer. Any ideas?

Unfortunately, I couldn't hang any longer. On top of the sms issue, my memory finally hit 90% last night. I ended up flashing to the newest mightyrom. Its a shame because this ROM was my favorite, visually. Maybe the memory issue will be addressed later?

I installed the 2.5 manilla ROM and really like it. I just one minor issue so far. In other ROMs I have tried, while on a phone call, if I put the phone down with the screen down, the speakerphone automatically turned on. I found the setting on the phone and made sure there is a check in the box, but it does not seem to be working. Is anyone else having this issue? Is there a resolution?

Also from a personal preference, I would like to change the green highlight colors to blue. Is there an easy way to accomplish this? Thanks.

Merindh! Love it! Love it! After going through Energy, SSK, and Juicy, yours is the only 2.5 thats timestamping sms correctly, and for the love of all that is good in the universe MMS worked!

So after testing the 2.1 i notice that the window live feature doesn't work when i click on it it juz freezes then load will go as far as the log in screen and that its the phone crashes and resets. Also the send button on the test messaging work sometime not all the time.

There is no way to send and SMS to people in your contacts list- just by email??? I like the rom but you cannot initiate a text message under the messaging tab. Already did a reset and still no change.

I promise this works... the first thing I tested as I used it SEVERAL times a day.

Try a hard reset. Either that or it is something you installed.

Same issue I had. You have to go to Menu and then Add receipient.

I flashed to your rom with manile 2.1. ever since i can only text in mms and not sms. Also the keyboard that pops up does not look anything like the stock verizon which i liked. is their anyway to get back sms and the old on screen keyboard. Thanks

Ugh, I spoke to soon. Yes, SMS/MMS works, but my battery is being eaten alive, and the memory just keeps getting eaten up too. I have had to soft reset about 4-5 times per day. Im gonna try a hard reset and see if anything improves. Otherwise I may have to go back to stock rom just to get everything working right, but boy ill miss thost front screen shortcuts and the way that fav contacts are handled


Its still a great work, but needs improvement.

Yep. All 3 versions. I used Apristals, the basic one, and the one found in the MM Rom thread.

I installed the verizon cab but the keyboard still doesn't work correctly. The symbols aren't mapped to the right keys.

Been on this ROM for a little over 24 hours and I gotta say I'm really liking it....I got the MMS issue worked out with the link to XDA's solution too...If we can only get a handle on the memory issue now...

hey thanks for the great rom. lots of apps, eye candy. fast and smooth.


After using your rom for about a day, Its great, Love the design, the home page the icons everything is great. And love the landscape mode!!! (on 2.1)

2 minor problems ive encountered thus far.

1:

When sending a text message, you need to hit reply to sender instead of just typing in the box and hitting send otherwise the text wont go through.

2:

When browsing the start menu, the icons are 'blurring' up and down the screen to the point where I cant use the start menu at all....

Not a huge deal, but i think you should know.

Do you have a cab or can you make a cab of your Black Phone dialer?

Also,
Have you been able to cab up a BG for all screens that will work with your 6.5/2.1 ROM?

Is there a way I can get the theme from the 2.1 on the 2.5 version? I like that theme but like the features of 2.5.
