Not sure if this is the issue, but what version of Bing are you using. On NRG rom, I could load the new version of Bing but it would not find a gps signal. However, if I used the old version of Bing, it would lock on gps just fine. Not sure what the issue is, but try using the old version. (I know it's not as pretty)

Like other VZW users I get the NBPCD Current Country error when I run the provisioning. Interesting, I haven't had this problem before with JMZ? Anyway, it appears the NBPCD data base is empty as I cannot choose anything when I drop out of the process. (it puts me into the NBPCD Current Country screen of "phone") I've tried to enter the data (USA, 1, 011) but it doesn't seem to save the data after a soft reset so it can't find it the next time I run provisioning. Also in "phone" the network services tab only has an option for sprint. I figure that's why us VZW users can't get data. My guess is that it's dropping out of the provisioning before the network gets set up. Hope this helps in troubleshooting. I'm back to MM but will check progress, this looks like one sweet rom!

I have a question...under settings and communications manager, I notice that when my Data connection is set to ON, when i check my notifications, it says that my phone is communicating with sprint and this goes on for hours and I notice that this drains the heck out of my battery. But when I switch DATA off, it ends up being switch back ON without me touching it. Is it supposed to do that?

and the Period symbol is not working on my Sprint keyboard. Cab for this?

NBPCD deal should not affect data. I have found the data issue should be resolved by going to Connections and under Modem, pick Verizon Wireless (not Auto, which it is likely on) and not VZW Embedded GSM.

You should get a popup when you activate something that uses data, then select Save Password and Ok. You shouldn't need to fill the info in to work.

NBPCD does seem like like a provision issue... Might even be provision/compatibility with 23xxx. I'm not a guru on this stuff.

Though everybody says to run provisions, try a hard reset w/o running provisions and set up data manually. I imagine you won't get the popup with NBPCD deal

Here is the link to Maxcy's new project, the guy that brought us MaxManilla is working on a new UI called Max Sense which is similar to the snese ui for Android, it looks great can't wait to try it.
Merdinh you need to check this out so you can do a new rom with it. Was using Energy Rom, but I had too much problems with the time changing everytime I switch back from airplane mode & text messages having the wrong year.
Love your rom dude, keep up the good work.

I am loving this Rom. I am not having any issues. I have a few friends that have never flashed until a few weeks ago and they had issues with many others but have stuck with this one since first use. Keep up the good work and Thank You.

Love LOVE LOVE this rom.......and i tried quite a few on here. Only small problem is when I try texting before, I could type the first letter in a persons name and people with that letter in there name show up. Now when I type in the first letter of a persons name, nothing comes up. If someone could tell me how to fix that, I'd appreciate it. Other than this....i'm diggin' this rom

weirdest thing. Im gettin a clipboard error when i try and run the uppdate utility. When it opens the rar, i get a corrupt file error. Its weird cause im using the same rar i used a week ago. Tried redownloading, from 2 different browsers, and I still get the error even with a fresh rar. It wont let me flash. Any suggestions?

Is anyone else having freezing problems in file explorer while accessing the storage card. Any my phone volume is too loud while on a call i cut the volume down all the way and the voices are still sounding like i have them in the room with me

so was running fine on the 1.55. Then while listening music, was hooked up using the 3.5 jack had to make a call and disconnected from jack but icon for headphones never disappeared. also couldnt hear anyone not even the rings. tried to play music once again to see maybe if putting jack back in would clear up the problem. nothing, so i hard reset and bingo, headphone icon still there
so i hatrd reset again this time removing sd card before hand. no luck
flashed back to stock then back to 1.55. once again listening to music and did
it again. could it be that maybe my jack is jacked up and stuck some how.


on another note have you thought of releasing a sprint only version and a generic carrier version? just a idea.

My buddys phone did the same thing. He gave it to me to figure out, and after flashing to stock and still havin the same issue your havin, i inspected his chargin port. it was all chewed up. sprint replaced it for him

Problem gaining access to EPST with MHWPInn 1.01 2.5

Can anyone here help me to access EPST using the dialer ##78# and ##78Talk - but no luck. I also have a folder with all of the phone codes, and when I click on the PST link it does nothing.

Actually, it always looks like it is opening, then something blocks it, looks like a pop-up blocker....

I also went into HD tweaks and disabled the HD dialer for the WinMo dialer, and that did not work either....


Can anyone help me please?

you also have to realize that they do this on their free time. Merdinh may just be very busy with his life but i'm sure he's working on the rom still and will update soon (hoping). all you can really do is either wait or go try other roms and come back when he has an update.

if you look back to post #493 he says that he has been very busy, along with the fact that he has posted that he just recently moved from one city to another. now im sure that Merdin can defend himself but being that i have been using his roms since his early tp days and reading a few posts up that he has been very busy and that he will try to work on some thing new is all i need to know. if you are looking for some of the issues that might be happening with his rom then you can search through the thread or post it here in the
thread and some one will try to help you out. and if you dont want to wait like tweety posted you can try some other chefs rom out and come back when something newer is out. remember that the chefs dont have to share their work and that we all benefit from all the hard work that is put into these roms. busy or not they are not here at our beck and call.

Sorry guys, didn't mean to sound like a jerk... I just know, that sometimes, when life gets to busy it is easy to give up on a hobby. I appreciate, truly appreciate all of the work that Merdin has done, and his ROM's are better than just about everyone elses' roms out there. But this situation reminds of another good COOK, BDX, who got busy, and then joined another team\kitchen project, after a while. I feel like, each Cook is an artist, and wants everyone to see their art. I think\believe that there are some serious legalities to trying to repackage and sell MS OS's which is why Cook's don't sell their builds.. but nevertheless it is a tremendous PRIVILEDGE for all of us in the MS OS community to have access to fruits over hard labor bestowed upon us by Cooks like Merdin.

Merdin, I hope you get your life in order. Your roms were some of the best that I had ever had... ( I always rank cooks in order from greatest to least, and too me, it is BDX\Merdin, Mighty, NRG, and Juicy). Timberwolf has a nice rom as well... just don't like the "Spirit" theme.

Sorry for the late update, but i got me a nice day off tomorrow, and i will be making some updates with the latest apps and OS, and then test it all out, and go from their for the next update.

Merdins_Windows_Phone_Innovation_v1.5c_01-18-2010m2.1 is this a ROM u recommend for beginners?
if so does it have tha uscellular provisions included or do i need to get them ?

i flashed this rom and it worked then i had to do a power cycle and then it shows the i guess its called a task bar i get that with the current time and all and it has a bright white screeen how can i fix it please

If reseting it wont work (remove battery cover, use stylus to poke little red dot) then you need to enter bootloader and reflash the Rom

To enter bootloader- take off battery cover, hold down power button and down volume as you poke the reset hole with the stylus...screen should turn rainbow colored, hook back to usb and reflash.

i got into the boot loader i keep getting a connectionn error but it shows its connect it says htc usb sync

Merdin makes good stuff...but this is a fairly old ROM. I like Mr X's stuff, and he just put out an update to his 2.5, and it's really good. If you like the newer finger friendly ones, try Medium Hill Rom by Dibson or Vin's neodium/plutonium stuff.
