I've uploaded a test rom since i cannot test it out because im on my palm pre, until i replace my broken tp2, but hears the link where the roms posted its a wm6.5 with manila 2.5, let me know how it boots, and any issues you find, the graphical issues should be fixed in hear.

Merdin - any particular reason you're using 28014 instead of 23158? I loved the email threading in 23158. Any possibility of creating a new ROW using that build? Thanks.

love the new dialer on the test rom it is so sweet. dont know if its just me but it seems a bit snapier the your last release. wifi doesnt seem towant to connect maybe its just the hotspot i use, if some one else can confirm. and maybe go back to opera 9.7,the beta 10 gets a bit laggy again it might be just me.
this is by far your best work so far and im loving it.

I love this test release. The only issue I have is with the MMS in 2.5. Besides that everything is running great. I really prefer the Opera 10 also. Much more functional and after a few loads it seems just as quick as 9.7.

I love your roms as they rarely ever require fixes and patches to have a functional, stable phone.

Just to confirm wifi seems to be working just fine for me in this build. One issue I had at first is it wasn't defaulting to the correct security type. Once I went into advanced settings and changed it it was fine.

Found a definite issue today.. gps is none functional. quickgps will download data, but then says it is unable to activate the data. google maps says there is a gps error saying there is no gps connected. Will try a few more things, but I think I will have to go back to the previous release and wait for the next.

To fix that you need to go into the cleanram setup and add manila.exe to the exceptions list. That will allow cleanram to function and the manila not to crash.

I tried wifi at home and at work and it fired right up. So kit may be your hotspot. Oh yeah checked the gps and its working flawless as well. So far so good. This has been a great and rocksteady rom so far

I flashed my TP2 with the 21888 build and man...was I impressed. Smooth performance and everything works well ...except for that weather animation glitch. Thats it...The Rom is awesome and I love the theme and setup. Keep up the GREAT work Merlin! A donation is definitely coming your way! MerdinH im trying out the max manila version from 1-18-10 great rom as usual. today i did a clear storage and now i cant get the contact drop down list when composing a sms... any suggestions?

If you installed any manila mods, try removing them or hardware resetting.

That seems to be an issue in that rom Merdin. I believe someone mentioned it at some time, but it was lost. The test rom doesn't have that fault.

Hi, not sure what could be the issue your having, im not getting any issues with gps, and other users have also confirmed to me that their is no gps issues. What i can suggest is just try reflashing.

I think I know why others might not be having the issue that I am having. After flashing the ROM the first time, I went ahead and clicked on Verizon for the provisioning. After the phone reset, it came up and a small window popped up saying that the country code was not set and I could not make or recieve phone calls. I reset the phone thinking that would resolve the issue, but the same window came up after it booted back up. I reflashed the ROM thinking it was a bad flash, but the same thing happened after installing the Verizon Provisioning. I reflashed a third time and pushed skip on the provisioining and installed a verizon provisioning cab that I have. I did not get the window after that. Everything works on the phone except for the GPS. Is there something in the provisioning cab that I am missing by not installing it? Is there a way to get past the "country code" window. I love the ROM, but need the GPS to work. Thanks.

In looking through previous posts, it appears that the majority of people are on Sprint. I did see another Verizon user that also reported the "country code" issue after installing the verizon wireless provisioning. My question now is there anyone using this ROM on Verizon that is able to use the GPS?

GPS issue is not due to provisioning from what I could see. Provision provided for Verizon does seem to have that country code pop up every soft-reset. I'm sure Merd will fix issues in an instant once he gets brand new refurb'd! =p

It is interesting because I have not had the GPS issue with any other ROM. It is too bad because this ROM has been my favorite, but I need the GPS functionality. I guess I will just need to wait until a new ROM is released. Thanks.

Where the signal icon is there is a white box with a x in it. I had this issue on another rom after i installed a task manger program so im assuming it has it cooked in the rom. Is there a fix for this? Im using the 1.5b rom

I had the gps problem and went to the previous version for a day. Tried again yesterday to flash the test rom and had the same gps issue before I installed any of my normal programs. Not sure what the problem is. Tried flashing back to stock and then flashing a fresh download of the test rom to make sure it wasn't a bad flash or download and still the same thing happened. Glad to see I'm not the only one that noticed that issue though. I am back to the previous version.

The only issues I am having, with the 6.5.3 ROM with Sense 2.5, is that
a) My period key does not work at all on my hardware keyboard (Lol, VERY annoying when doing anything on the keyboard which requires typing, cuz you use periods in everything).

b) My backgrounds get all messed up and mucked up, especially in regards to weather. Its like a distortion or static pixelation image with the video drivers...corruption, maybe.

I am anxiously and patiently awaiting the next rom... cuz I love this one so much, i am willing to stand and wait.... I might just reflash this one and see if that helps...

cab for the period fix is somewhere in this thread dont remeber where too lazy to look through aal the post, but i have the cab. here it is. I also was having the issue with the same thing and just flashed back to stock then back to the rom and it started working just fine. as far as the graphical issue's, disable the weather animation thru max manila that should solve that. Mredin's latest test rom does not have thoose issue's and im sure that he is on.

This version does not have max manila, I am using v2.5.1922.2911.0 Sense UI
and would like to use animation weather. Is their a way to fix that graphical issue on this version?

Have you tried more than one program? Bing is the only program on the test rom that gps is not working on. Otherwise google and sprint navigation have gotten a signal instantly. Im not sure what causes this on Bing but when I used to have Energy Rom on my phone it would do the same thing. Well either way something you can try to make sure its really not working

I love the rom, i was actually talking about the 1-9 version, but i updated and gave max manilla a try. I love it. Specially since there is a new fix for hdwalls to work with 1922 builds. I think ill be stickin with this rom for a while. Couple things.
1st, Im still gettin a graphical blotch on the screen when the animated weather activates. Ive flashed back to stock, did a hard reset on stock, and then flashed to this. I got the glitch in the 1-9 edition, as well as this new 1-18 edition. I love the animated weather, so if there is any other suggestion someone would have to get glitch out of the animation.
2nd, the space bar on the keyboard is blank, it works, but it doesnt say space or nothin. its a black spot. no biggie, but a flaw.
3rd, when in full screen mode, the feild for texting in manilla doesnt line up right. the icons are overlappin the space where the text displays. once again, no biggie, but annoying.
4th, it took me forever to figure out what it was, why does it lock everytime i turn the phone upside down? any way to shut that off? Or is there a way to map it to be the s2u2 instead ofthe standard lock. Or is there a way to make the lock in the bottom right corner of full screen mode, to activate s2u2 instead of the standard lock? EDIT::: i found out it is the auto lock function of max manilla that is makin it lock up. it would be real cool to have it activate s2u2 though.

These are minor things, but i love the whole set, so id prefer to fix these things, and stick with the rom. The biggest thing to me is the weather animation glitch.

Can verify that Google maps and Sprint nav do get a gps signal instantly but
Bing does not. Have tried several different settings and even a old gps fix cab. Nothing.. not a big deal. Other than that love the test rom and cant wait to see what else he has in store.

Not working for me and it works fine on stock or other ROMs. Sprint NAV wont see it google can tell approx what town i'm in but I think it uses cell tower to do that. When I enable GPS in google it wont find any GPS signal. Once again I am using the test ROM. If i use the GPS tool and open COM4 and start the test I get a "failed to send NMEA command"
