I am running the sense 2.5 23518. On the home screen there is some funky looking animation thing that scrolls on the screen. Is there a fix for this because I like the weather animation but I never seen this happen b4 in any other rom i used.

Firstly..im running 6.5.3b great rom! very very responsive :headbang: I was wondering if there were any plans for a clean version of the 23518 build? If does anyone know if there is indeed a clean version of that 6.5 build?

This ROM is good and has the potential to be best ever. I love the look and is stable for the type of build it is.

Here are a few bugs:

- Can't dial or send text through manilla contacts. Works in native contacts.
- CleanRAM locks up the system when I run. Hope this one can be fixed.
- Manilla threaded text loses cursor in text box in landscape mode.
- Don't like funky animation on home screen. Is there a way to turn off animation?
- When I do a soft reset, I always get a message stating that the phone cant find my country of location.

Other than that, I am going to stick with this one. I can use this on a daily basis and think your work is great. looking forward to donating when I get paid.

To disable the Weather Animation in Home Screen use the regedit,...

Now I'm trying to figure out how to get rid of the Animation all together! Meaning in the APP itself also. Anyone can help with that???:scratch:

1) I ended up reflashing but 6.5.3 but I have a question. Dont think it's the rom, maybe Im just not familiar with my phone yet, but when I flashed, I did Microsoft my phone to get my contacts back. They loaded just fine. But how do I get my phone to stop placing "1" before all of the phone numbers? It's dailing the number 1 and when it does that, when I go back through my call log, none of the contacts names are showing up b/c the phone doesnt recognize the number because of this....

2) also, I'm having the home screen graphic image issue as well. Pretty random though. Sometimes it does it, sometimes the cloud Kinda reminds me of a spining satalite looking image from out of space...LOL:mrgreen:

3) My volumn is doing some funky stuff. Sometimes I place a call and the it's sky high and wont turn down and sometimes I can barely hear the caller. It almost seems as if there are two different volumn controls or something. Cant quite put my finger on it...

Touch the screen just below the date and alarm status and swipe down. Look for the box named "weather" and toggle to off. Touch below settings boxes and swipe up. Done deal...

I love the ROM Merdin! With the weather animation turned off, I can't find any other real problems. I love the Max Manila/Dusk theme and features. I wasn't a fan of Max until I took the time to actually find out how to tweak it. You've done an awesome job fusing the two, just enough of both. I'm not gonna bitch about the little things that can all be worked around. I just want to run it for a full day to see about the battery and stability. Thanks so much for your hard work! GREAT ROM!!! Here is what I have noticed ....I also have that weird weather animation going on. 2. The txt messaging from people does not work when I hit send message but it does work if i hit the bottom messaging icon. ( when I rotate the phone to use keyboard the screen is not quite right though) 3. The lock screen has a message about a trial version and the date is DEC 23..Everything else is working great.. I am having a few issues with the phone freezing while using the File Explorer (not Total Commander- I prefer the included File Explorer). Anyone else have this?

How can I turn off the sound for locking and unlocking the 6.5 lock screen? I'm using SmartLock 2.0F if it matters.

For the life of me, I can't figure out how to change the lock screen wallpapper? And also, at one point, I saw two different locks. I unlocked the first screen and it took me to a second lock screen? How do I disable or enable the one that I actually want to use?

Are you talking about S2U2 or the stock 6.5 lock?. I am able to change the lock screen in either case; through Settings application in S2U2 or the Personalize option on the Settings Tab for the 6.5 lock.

The "second lock screen" behavior was probably S2U2 being on and the stock lock screen on behind it. That's happened to me a couple of times. I disabled S2U2 (because of the screwy slider in V2.24) and installed SmartLock 2.0F to auto-initiate the stock 6.5 lock.

I wish you hadn't posted that - Ever since I read your post, my File Explorer has caused freezing. It only seems to freeze on the root of the storage card. Can you confirm similar behavior?

Sorry guys.... Worked great for 2 days then shat the bed... This morning locked up and would not reboot, Then hard reset lasted rest of day then started acting up... Will resrve this when more stable

Keyboard keeps getting stuck in number pad mode when I go to enter owner info. Wont revert back to alphabet. Hard re-set and had the same problem. ?

Edit: Fixed it myself. Installed Dusk Dailer and Dusk Keyboard. Which actually fixed all of the keyboard issues mentioned on this thread so far.

That sounds right, I know at least one freeze occured on the root of the SC. It happened 3 times today and I eventually flashed to a different ROM. I really liked this ROM and will come back to it on the next release.

I love the rom... I love the options... except for the "bounce" application...
My "period" button on my hardware keyboard is not working... is there a fix for that?

Thanks for the feedback guys, i will try edit this stuff in the kitchen BUT i will not be able to test everything out for about 2 weeks since i dropped my Phone today, and cracked the screen so i have to wait for my next check which is 2 weeks away to pay the $100 insurance deductible, but until then i wont be able to do anything.

ok so been running the 6.5.3 since it was released and along with all the
slight tweaks all in this thread have added, ie ... disableing weather thru mm
and making sure that manila.exe. is in the exceptions list for clean ram.
all making Merdin's rom so much more enjoyable. Hers mey extra two sense,
the graphical issues with the slider bieng off, just disable the slider in mm.
As far as the keyboard issue, i went back to the begining and to the advice
and hard reset first then flashed back to stock hard reset again then flashed back to 6.5.3 then hard reset, made sure that in my storage card the application data files was deleted...whewww. since then have had no issues with the keyboard or the sms. been running smooth,... until my blue tooth went wacko. first my sound thru the 3.5 jack stopped working, then no more sound thru phone unable to hear anyone at all. so went back and started the whole process again this time not adding my blue tooth. if any one else has any ideas. is it because of the stack?

Ref Verizon on 01-18-2010 WM6.5.3 v1.5dv2.1.1921.3017.1 Sense UI23158, if the issue with having country code prompt upon soft-resets is the provision .cab file within JMZ selection, which provision .cab are you all using to get it to work or are you just not running the .cab?

If you VZW folks aren't running the .cab one first boot, Merd, what are we missing from not running the .cab? Thanks!
