Also, I noticed that Update Profile and PRL do not seem to work for Sprint.

On top of that, is anyone else having problems with the phone constantly being in 1x instead of EVDO for Sprint?

same here, update profile prl dont work and sumtimes i cant press the send button to send textes. everything works but the send button

I actually just had the same problem. After a fresh hard reset and zero apps installed.

I had it freeze three times after a soft reset during the weather animations. It is a nice looking ROM though...Thanks Merdin.

Some of these issues ive had. By flashing to a stock rom reflashing back to Merdin's letting the customizations run through then hard resetting and letting the process run again, it might seem like its stuck but give it some time and it will restart by itself. As far as the prl and profile you might wanna try the cab below and then run prl and profile update.

I didnt include the black dialer in the Manila 2.5 rom because it does not play well with Manila 2.5, but im pretty sure its in the Manila 2.1 rom, cant tell since im on 2.5

works for me, it might be carrier related, thanks for the info, ill see if i can get that fixed so it works with all carriers, and also if you have verizon or telus make sure you install their keyboard cab in the tools folder.

Merdinh,
Can you Cab us up a cab that will allow us to save our Screen Savors on every page? I have a few different cabs that work on different ROMS but they dont work on your new 2.1 ROM. When I install them and click on programs all the programs smear all over the screen and it does not fix with a soft reset, I end up hard resetingthe phone. I really like you 6.5 ROM but like some I would like to edit the screens to allow me to have a different look from time to time instead of just black. I would rather you keep your rom with the basic black and add the BG cab that allows screens to be changed by the user to make it look like what ever you want.

I would also like a clear weather clock with this rom to go with the screen savor cab to make it complete and allow us (the users) to look like what ever we want but still enjoy all of your great features and toys. I love all the extras in this rom cause I dont have to add them myself after I install it and it saves me time overall. I like how it runs and looks but I would like to personalize it more like in your roms of past. :)

ok ill see whats up with the background for all tabs when i get home, and cab it up if it works. And for the clock, you can pretty much install any custom manila 2.1 sense theme you find on this forum under the themes section or over at xda.

Thanks man and what I mean by the clock is to have your clock in a clear cab. I really like the weather clock you are using but I would like it clear. If you have this clock in clear please pm me with it or post it cause I really like the one that is being used in your rom.

i'm on sprint. i let all customizations finish.

any idea why installing juggalo_x sprint cab would break the internet connection? also. i've tried the sprint tv cab alone and it installs but only tries to run. it's odd.

Sprint tv doesnt not work on most custom Roms that are running wm6.5, and im not sure what he has in his Sprint cab, but i already have a sprint cab in the rom which can be found in the tools folder under programs.

Im also currently using the 2.5, but 2.1 is more stable because of the manila, and 2.5 one also does not have landscape.

he has a fix that should work on most Sprint roms. the key to his fix is to run his carrier cab for sprint. but for some reason, it breaks the internet on your rom. it works fine on the energy rom and others that have tested it.

any ideas?

Okay.. got a couple things fixed/resolved.

Using Sprint running 2.5 Sense.

Got the issue with PRL fixed, installed the PRL cab, there are 2 icons until you delete one, but no big idea. I am sure Merdin can fix that on the next release.

I also seem to have resolved the issue with getting stuck in 1x mode by doing several hard resets.

As far as the txt message history in threaded SMS, the problem with not being able to see sent messages is true, however as soon as the person responds to your txt, it builds a conversation and you can then see both sent and received messages. However if you are looking for your sent message in the threaded SMS before they respond, you wont see it.

Issues:

- MMS does not work; I installed the Arcsoft Cab and it did not help any. This is an odd one for me as it worked perfectly in the beta without any cabs or additional files. Solution?

-Txt Messaging Recipient; Okay, this one is odd and I am wondering if anyone else is having it. If you go to the txt message tab and click compose message, and then click the "To" box and start to type in the recipients name, it does NOT show phone numbers. It will only show email addresses for the people. You have to go to Menu/Insert Recipient to get the persons phone number to send. This is annoying as CRAP to me! I need to be able to just type the damn persons name in and click the phone number with ease. Is anyone else having this issue? Also, is there a fix for it? I have tried hard resetting 3+ times, and even re-flashed the ROM.

PIM Backup - This ROM does NOT play well with PIM backup for messages. It works perfectly to restore everything else, however when you restore your txt messages, it makes the ROM damn near unusable it is so slow and buggy. I even let my phone sit for 45min to see if maybe it was just the messages populating into the message history. This still did not help. I am not sure if this is an issue with the 2.5 as I was on 2.1 prior to this ROM. Anyone else experiencing this?

Other than that, the ROM is running quite smoothly for me with excellent battery life.

If I can get these last things taken care of, im 100% happy.

hey just a quick question, will there be any rom builds from Merdin that would run on GSM carriers? i am interested in trying since the interface looks mad dope and looks like it runs fluid. i have been using EnergyRoms for too long and i want to try something new. haha thanks :headbang:

hey MerdinH, when i was running your 2.5 rom i was having ringer issues. phone would NOT ring when i got a phone call... a few other people were having this problem as well. is there any chance you've found a fix for it? the 2.5 looks absolutely sick and would definitely be a keeper for me if the phone would just ring lol.

have started to run at 80% memory do know why
and have hard reset to see if it was something

Okay... 2 other quick things I noticed.

The Home screen does not show notifications, nothing about missed calls or VM or something like that. Is there any way to get that back onto the home screen in the settings or something? I like to know when I have a missed call! Its much easier to see it in the Home screen then the top bar.

Second, when receiving or sending a txt message, your data goes down completely for about 20-30sec. Not a big deal really, however I stream music a lot with Pandora and this stops the music. It only surprised me because this was the first time I have experienced it. Anyone else getting this?

Its mainly manila 2.5 that uses alot of system memory, the 2.1 rom ranges from 50-68%, ill see next release if i can do anything to help that.

Thanks for letting me know, i might be missing a driver for the homescreen, and about the data, that is normal it is suppose to stop when your receiving a txt message or a call because our phones cannot run both data, and voice at the same time, its always been like that for me.

if you're talking about the background, i haven't tried it myself yet but hdwall seems to be the best way to achieve the same background on all tabs.

Ahh, good man! I guess I just never noticed that before!

One more quick thing. I cant get the damn zoom slider to work for the life of me! I have tried in the Office Applications, in Opera, and in Camera and it wont zoom! Is there a fix to this?

Also along the same lines, since the zoom slider does not work, how do I zoom in and out in camera when taking pictures?

Okay, one more quick question.

Is there any way to get signatures to show in txt messages? I know that with the old version on the TP2, it would not show signatures when you sent with the new Manilla, you had to send them the old school way.

Well I dont know if that is possible in the 2.5 version, so is there any way to have the signatures actually show? I know WHERE to add it and set it up, it just doesnt show when I send a txt from the Manilla messaging app.
