if your cell company is cdma, you're in the right place. if you are gsm, you need that forum.

hey guys if you're still having trouble unlocking your Touch Pro2, first make sure you've:

-disabled antivirus and the firewall in Admin tools>services,
-performed a hard reset
-installed the bootloader drivers by connecting the phone to the pc while in bootloader mode (tricolour screen)

then
go into settings>connections>>USB to PC on your phone and uncheck the box that says: "Enable fast data synchronization". this is not something i read on the forums but something i looked and thought it might work and it did, when trying everything else had failed. i never thought id be so happy to see my screen suddenly go blank

btw after a hard reset run hardspl on automode, it worked for me. you should avoid using manual if possible (or so i read)

Can someone please clear something up for me?

If I have a CDMA Sprint Touch Pro2 and I want to travel overseas...

I would prefer to buy a SIM in the local country versus having a US based SIM card to switch over to when needed.

Is this possible? Does this require the SIM unlocker utility to do this? If not, what is the SIM unlocker utility for? If I do need the SIM unlocker utility will I also have to use the Hard-SPL unlocker?

Quick question:

My sister just got a Touch Pro 2 and she wanted me to unlock it for her. I have already unlocked my Touch Pro 2 using my laptop. If I bring my laptop at her place, and unlock the phone using her internet connection, will the unlocker prompt me for a forced donation? She does not have a working computer at this time, so I need to bring my own laptop... any idea?

Ive been searching like crazy and before anyone says anything to insult me...YES I DO KNOW HOW TO DISABLE MY AV AND OPEN A ZIP FILE lol. I cant get this hard-spl working at all. As soon as I open it, it disappears. Theres no traces of it in the event logs either. What gives with that?

Hate to say it but it sounds like you didn't disable your AV completely. "disappearing archive" is a key indicator of this.

Hey could you guys help me at all? i just upgraded my TP2 to Mighty's Rhodium rom and also tried War. On both of them i could not get the internet/mms to function. everytime i go into Connection Setup and change it to "Australia" and "Optus" and soft reset none of them save. same with Carrier Provisions, when i try pressing "other' it installs but goes back to telus when i reset as it asks.

It is all strange because internet worked fine when i was just using the Sprint stock rom.

please help!
