Re: [ROM] "RhoPazIo" by JD [111809] (WM6.5) {online}[SPCS]

Hi, I just got my new Sprint Touch Pro 2. I flashed to HardSPL as mentioned in this thread http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=93252.

HardSPL failed the first time around with "ERROR 260 CONNECTION" RUU error

HardSPL succeeded the second time around after I let the RUU sit for a while when the USB drivers were installed by Windows 7.

Then I downloaded JD's ROM and flashed it. Flash process was uneventful.

I also installed the patch by MightyMike and Mr.X for the tethering issue with Internet Sharing. This is all I have done so far.

I haven't installed any other software.

After I flashed last night I tried making calls and everything worked perfect. This morning I drove to work and tried making a call to my wife. The phone tried to dial and then quit giving me 2 beeps as if the call failed.

So I tried again. Same result.

Tried 10 different numbers in my phone book. Same result.

Tried Internet Sharing. Worked Perfect!

so did a soft reset. tried the above steps. Same result. Incoming calls worked perfect though.

so out of desperation I did a hard reset by holding the talk & end keys along with the power key and then pressing the volume up button.

Voila! Everything worked and things were hunky dory!

10 hours later, I drive back home. Same symptoms as in the morning. Every call I try to place fails. Incoming calls work though.

I'm puzzled. Can someone please help me out here? My laptop from which I do all the flashing is a Windows 7 64-bit machine with 4GB RAM and 250GB HDD and an Intel Core2Duo processor. I use WM Device Center 6.1

I tried to search the forum for anyone having similar problems and I couldn't find any relevant posts. (Maybe I suck at search key words)

I would really appreciate some help because I'm loving this ROM and really would prefer to not have to go back to the Stock ROM.

Thanks in advance!

Update: I tried to go in to the Radio/Network settings and changed the mode to CDMA Networks Only from Global. It didn't seem to help at all. Every symptom that I mentioned remains. I'm not doing a hard reset so that I will be able to test out stuff in case anyone wants further tests done with my device in this state.

Re: [ROM] "RhoPazIo" by JD [111809] (WM6.5) {online}[SPCS]

I keep popping in here to see how things are going on this rom for everyone because I liked JDs rom a lot and was not wanting to switch for a while but I had the same type of problems after a few weeks on the rom. My connection bars turned into a ball of some sort. My phone started acting real goofy and I almost thought I bricked it somehow. I did a hardware reset on purpose and later by luck somehow when it suddenly would not call out or call up any contacts. By then I just decided to play it safe a bit and go back to stock. I got sidetracked and decided to try Yay4Juggs since it was a tweaked 6.1. So far so good even though it's a test 2 public version. Any incite on these weird issues like this would be great JD.

I would flash back to stock.....then re-flash JD and hard reset...for the time being do not install the tethering patch and see how it goes for a day or 2..then install the patch, if all is well...see how that runs and we should have a better idea.....maybe it was a bad flash or somehow maybe the patch caused it.....

Anybody having issues with the home screen clock animation.
Every time I go a program and return to the home screen the clock is initially a hour and one minute behind then it flips the hour panel to the correct hour and the after that it flips the minute panel to the correct minute.
Weird.

Weird.
That behavior is intentional. Do a search for Apristel flip clock fix.

Thanks for the pointers. I did a hard reset and reflashed JD's ROM. Then I did a hard reset by using the Settings->Clear function.

After the boot up, I did a PRL update successfully followed by a Profile update which was also successful.

I didn't install any other patches.

Fast forward to this morning, Same issue.

I'm going to try to flash back to the Stock ROM for a day and see if I have this problem.

My radio version is 1.96.00 WF (Its whatever came with the phone, I haven't updated it)

I will post back the update tomorrow.

Re: [ROM] "RhoPazIo" by JD [111809] (WM6.5) {online}[SPCS]

Ok, I flashed to Stock ROM for a day. No troubles whatsoever! Was able to make calls and use all the functionality. Tried MightyROM just to see if the same problem happens and guess what the issue is back

I'm wondering if my Touch Pro 2 doesn't like WM 6.5

At this point I'm wondering if I did something bad to my radio when my HSPL flash failed the first time.

Once again, the problem is when I try to make a call (Say 4-6 hours after I first flashed the ROM) the phone would try to make the call and then go BEEP..BEEP..BEEP

Interestingly *2 (Sprint support) and Voice mail work just fine

Any other cellphone or land line number doesn't work.

As far as flashing from SD, I don't have a USB mem card reader, so I downloaded this program from here http://www.cnetx.com/format/ and formatted the card in FAT32 format. I then copied the RHODIMG.nbh file to the root of this card and with the device turned off, I tried the Vol Down plus Power button combo to try and launch the ROM.

But nothing happened. It went to the tri-color screen. Briefly said something like No Image and then came back to the tri-color screen and said SERIAL. Thats it.

I looked at this thread and looks like other people have had this problem. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...0&postcount=30

Any ideas?
