Re: [UPDATE 01-08-10] Rhodium_W Radio ROMS

Can someone explain the technical aspects of these radios?

I'm on Sprint yet I see people flashing other carrier's radios such as the new Verizon one.

Is it that you would get access to other towers or is it that the signal will be picked up better? I'm reading that it could actually go worse and that's why you need to try out different ones.

I guess on my current stock Sprint radio I have no issues for where I live but going out to my friends in the stick, he is on the border of EV or 1X and he some times get dropped cause as it switches inbetween. Would a new radio help that?

What bad can come with switching radios? Seems a bit more risky that potential added performance at least for my needs if my signal is fine.
