My TP2 is security unlocked and i have flashed the 1.40 radio before, but it doesn't receive calls or texts, it only lets me call or send texts out. is there any way to fix that?

ok, i'm a bit confused here. So i can basically flash any radio from this thread as long as i'm HardSPL unlocked. I don't need to be Sim Unlocked unless i want to flash Sprint 1.4 radio? ...

Also by flashing out of my stock Sprint 1.96 radio, does that mean I can no longer use SIM card from international carriers (not USA GSM carriers)? or can i still use international sim card, just not USA GSM carriers?

ok now that i helped someone i need some help if possible. i have telus touch pro 2 using it sim unlocked on rogers and just rogers. everything is working fine on the phone all but caller name id. i had the same problem with my htc fuze and i found a (rilphone for rogers cnap.cab) and that fixed it but also that was a gsm phone. is something like this possible for the cdma telus touch pro 2 to get caller names displayed on my phone.

I just flashed my USCC TP2 to the 2.18 Radio without being Security unlocked or Sim unlocked. I just have the HardSpl so I could flash new ROMs. I am running Impact Rom and everything so far is working as it should. I stayed with my cell company's upgraded radio and it seems safe. Hope it kind of helps.

Hi, I mistakenly Flashed my sprint Touch pro 2 CDMa with a GSM radio which i downloaded from HTCpedia.com
the flashing went upto 100% but now my phone wont boot up at all. I cant hard reset even (pressing send, end & power button) cant go to bootloader mode either volume down and power key.)
Can someone please help revive my phone. I am sure there must be a solution as lots of guys make mistakes with the radio roms and i hear them getting it unbricked again. Please respond and help me to fix my phone.

sorry bro, but i haven't seen any cases of someone fixing this problem. If you just flashed a gsm rom, then that's fixable, but not a radio.

is there a place where i can buy the ROM seperately and have it soldered on my pcb of the Sprint Touch Pro2 CDMA. I see that as a work around to my problem. I just dont know where i can find the part.

have you tried holding volume down then press reset button that should get bootloader up. on to answer the other question no not possible only possible way is to replace the board itself.

Pull your battery out and put it back in. (I know you said you did this already, but try again) Hold the volume down button and hit the power button. You should be at the bootloader screen. Connect your phone to the pc. Make sure you have the SPCS_R1.96WF radio on your pc. Run it and reflash that radio. You should be back to normal after that.

Did I misunderstand or can I not flash the verizon 2.23 radio to a stock locked verizon phone? When I try ruu never moves past 0%

ok you are on verizon.have you done the oem verizon 6.5 upgrade?if you have,you already have that radio.

your phone has to be hardspl unlocked to flash these radios.

No I have 6.1 stock rom. I don't use the 6.5 rom because of a 3rd party software issue with that rom. So I have to be hardspl to flash a verizon radio, correct?
If so then "3) You MUST be security unlocked to flash radios i pack from other devices" statement needs to be reworded since it sounds like I can flash radio from my model phone without hardspl.

you might be confused. all he's saying there is that you have to be SECURITY unlocked for radios he packs from other devices, so for the radios he packed from this device, you don't have to be SECURITY unlocked. he said nothing about hardspl unlock

I'm sure this have been covered multiple times and I am sorry for that but I have mostly read through the thread and didn't see what I was looking for.
1) How can I see my current reception levels so that I am able to compare and contrast different radios?
2) Am I right in understanding that If I have HardSpl'd my phone then I can flash anyone of these radios (besides the one the came from a different device) and it will be fine? It won't lock me in any way again or anything of that nature? For example if I decided I wanted to try multiple different radios I wouldn't have any issues flashing one over the other?

I would like to use ppkitchen.org's kitchen's on my tp2 and they say I have to have a version 3 radio for gsm enabled ROMS -- I did not see any such here -- unless the numbers mean something different, so where can I get such?

I am getting SOD issues on multiple roms, I am on vzw 2.23 radio and was told that I should flash telus. I am assuming I will have to call verizon after to get it reprogrammed? Anyone else do this?

first extract the exe file found in the first post, these are executables that have all the files for flashing from computer. You will see a RUU_Signed.nbh file.

yup, copy it to the root of your storage card, needs to be name

RHODIMG.nbh

enter bootloader mode and it will tell you to press vol down to cancel or power to update

I think going into bootloader is pushing "hangup, vol down and reset button"

I have files on my storage card to enter bootloader mode so I used that

I went to the telus radio, will see if it makes a diff in my SOD issues, I was able to make calls and get data after flashing. so far no call to verizon required

Edit, FYI SOD issues on Telus also damn

no call needed. you just flash it and it works as if you hadn't done anything.
no. you can only flash via computer or microSD card. Instructions for doing it via microSD card here

Sorry, but I'm a newby on the radio stuff. Currently I'm running a custum Sprint ROM that I don't want to change just yet. Can I update the radio without affecting it? Do I need to unlock the radio if my phone is already SPL unlocked for ROMs?

since you are already hspl unlocked, then you are ready to flash these radios. it won't affect or change your rom at all.
