Ok, so here is the skinny on radios. Since most of you have only had a cdma device here are a few things to remember.

This RUU Will Not hard reset your device. Thanks to Cfay for setting up the RUU for us.

PS: I got a new device :), and Cmonex is going to possible look into why the whitestone radios bricked me, may be able to fix that :D They should work, i can find the Rhodium_W bits in them. But my advice is don't bother until they are looked into deeper.

haha yea. a while back conflipper gave me all the nbs and i tried 2 VZW that worked, then I tried the 2 USC and they didnt work (white screen brick) i was able to fix with ship ROM and radio reflash

EDIT: hmm i coulda sworn when I flashed 2.05 it came from a VZW zip

sorry if i ask a dumb question but i wanna make sure i dont brick my phone..


any of these radios are fine to flash as the phone is... just unlocked for rom flashing....


since none of these radios are from other phones i dont have to be security unlocked......am i right?

I flashed the vzw 2.05.55 and it was a brick. I cant get it to flash anything els

you can change the color of your screen .. im on blue and dark grey and looks just fine

ok i just tried to flash the celular south and it didnt work...

it said the update utility was not for my phone... it send it to the tri color screen and i was the writing was messed up there...


trying a soft reset would send me to the same screen


working on fixing it

Flashing a radio is as easy as a rom. Just run the ruu and you will be walked though it.


Activesync---run ruu--click a few things--your done. Simple!

thats not what i meant i knew that but thanks i just read my post and i can see how you would mix that up. I meant by flashing this radio is it unlocking the usa gsm just like the elite radio flash with the patched radio? can someone clear it up

No you gotta jump through the elite teams hoops to SIM unlock.

For those that have the radio working on the Sprint TP2, big question. Does the radio drain the battery fast or is it easy on power? I would like to use my TP2 at the gym (they use FM channels for sound) to watch TV.

As far as I know, no one has gotten the FM radio working on any CDMA TP2 yet.

wait does this mean these radios dont work? I have sprint and i have it security unlocked i know i got to unlock the radio also before i flash a new sprint radio. The link dont work on the radio so i dunno whats going on..

no need to flame him...im sure he did these himself as I didn't have the USC radio...also hes been doing radios since the tp as I remember...I posted mine since I hadn't seen them posted yet when the unlocker came out.

I hate to beat a dead horse but things aren't as clear as with the original TP. I always used the USC radio with my VZW TP; will the current USC TP2 radio work with VZW or should I stick with carrier specific radios?

This thread isn't about the fm radio its about the cellular radio that communicates with the towers.

ok so far guys i have one more radio to download and personally flash AGAIN... no issues so far.

so any users reporting errors its on your end.... last up USC... which is busted, however the VZW 1.88 either i packed it wrong or the RUU shipped labeled it wrong because it seems to be V2.05WV

2.05WV kicks serious arse.

i am in a spot where im usualy in 1x or searching while at home (hence why i have a rogers sim so im not unreachable at home) and i have 2 FREAKIGN BARS where i would get zero with any other radio..... and ive been testing them all night... except for USC im confident its corrupt. sorry bout that. ill test and re-up. thanks god none of y'all bricked.

Sorry, but I'm feeling thick here (not all that uncommon). These links are to replacement Cell Tower radios, that, in theory, give better reception, less power drain, less filling, better taste than the stock cell tower radio? I also don't yet understand from reading, when you can just load the new radio and when you need further unlocking. As my cell radio seems to work, I don't know that I'm really overly tempted to do this, but I do want to learn all about it (getting smarter is always good).

each radio will pick up a different frequency... the carrier it comes from doesnt matter, its just the signal


you would have to test to see what works better in your area since it is different from place to place.


if you are unlocked to flash roms you will be goof with these... you would need to be security unlocked to flash a radio from a different phone like we use to do with the Touch pro

so far stock TP2 radios is all we can use.. but that can change later

It frankly doesn't mean anything to me that you're a staff member. Another member did all this work already and rather then test it out or take our word that they work, you decided to redo them.

Then I PM you asking for a radio so I don't have to hard reset and spend hours redoing my phone and you PM me back a copy and paste of your thread like I didn't read it. So rather than helping me out and linking me, or everyone else for that matter, you say that you're waiting to dump the Telus radio, which you couldn't do after all.

You had these radios for weeks? Then why didn't you post them. Metalmayhem did and that helped me greatly and he certainly deserved the thanks more than you did. Check myself??

you want o be constructive? go flash a white stone radio.... come report back we will see. Its a humbling experience when you have a $750 paper weight... yes thats exactly what i payed for my TP2.

its all good i was in my 30 days it wasn't to bad to get a replacement, of course i had to play dumb... and since a system error my data does not work until at min, Monday :( so its called taking one for the team. how mad would u bee if i posted nicely packaged bricking apps? ............. pretty pissed off. s like i hope the people with common sense understand where im coming from .
