Thanks for this explanation. I've been asking for this for quite a while and no one seems to really understand what these new radios do.

So the performance increase you may see is in call clarity and potentially data transfer rates? If i'm reading you correct...

It would be helpful if you put the dates of release on the radios. For example, the Sprint ones have the lower numbered radio as the 6.5 test radio. Does that mean it's newer or did they release a non "6.5 test" that is newer?

ok i just tried to flash the SPCS 1.4WF and it didnt work...

it said the update utility was not for my phone... it send it to the tri color screen and i was the writing was messed up there...


trying a soft reset would send me to the same screen had to flash to a different radio to get it off. Any ideas???

every time I download and try to install the USC_2.05WV it tells me Im installing
VZW 1.88WV.....????

Edit: Nevermind after flashing it it says 2.05WV. Weird.....

I haven't tried re-flashing it after initially fixing it by flashing back to the stock radio.

I just flashed the VZW 2.23 radio to my Sprint TP2 and it works awesome! I've noticed a difference in responsiveness and speed. Will post later on how this does on battery life. Previously using MightyROM's latest TP2 releases with Stock Sprint 1.96 Radio, I had got pretty good battery life.
