How many SMS do you need to have before it starts slowing down. I only have about 10 from the last week in there an no slow down. Why would NRG put the HTC messaging in if it makes the phone unusable. Doesn't make much sense.

I am on the 10/25 version... Text message is random. I've had -CDMA and -GSM threads. By adjusting the Advanced Config memory things sped up, but sometimes I had to hard reset my device. I tried the Sleep mode and could never recover.

I know the Keyboard is off for the Verizon version, and there is a Fix for it.

When I went to the Comm. Manager, I turned off the 3G mode and things have been smoother since.

I am off to flash with the 11/3, hope things are well on this one.

i found a program called sms threader but it does not make the winmo messages threaded it is a seperate program is there a way to set that as the default messaging program

As for the threaded messaging, am I totally misunderstanding what everyone is talking about? Do you mean the "shiny" manila messaging that gets horribly slow and locks up the system or just threaded messaging???

because, that's my messaging client, and its.... well, threaded....

I really love this ROM it has everything I basically want! But it is slow, no sms, Sprint TV and some other very small things that have been told already. I went to cfay . Its a fast ROM for sure but does not have the bells as this ROM does. So I am going to give some time for things to get worked out as I just have to be able to use my phone for work and need it to do the thing I need fast. I will be keeping an eye here as I want thins ROM when its running A OK.

did you go to Start -> Settings -> System -> SMS Threading and make sure it was turned on???
