Re: [ROM] [15/11/09] Juicy Rhodium_W R3 [SENSE UI] [XDA_UC]
i just went and changed the server to the sprintpcs, changed the port number to 80, on the connect via tab i changed it to sprint, and the wap i set to none. i then went into the reg and changed the wap1 and wap2 values to 5120000 and after all of that i can now recieve mms. but i just tried to send one and it says it sent, it had the percentage thing on there and it went up to 100%, but the other phone never recieved anything?

Re: [ROM] [15/11/09] Juicy Rhodium_W R3 [SENSE UI] [XDA_UC]
Notice, all the users that say it's working are on Sprint -not verizon.
I probably can receive MMS, I have made the exact same changes everyone else has made. I cannot get it to SEND an MMS to save my life however. I have spent two days on this & have basically given up on it at this point. ~John |

Yeah, you use wm now instead of HTC client, right? did you do what this website says: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...556614&page=22 ? Or did you just install a cab? If so could you tell where you got it? |

I don't believe ANYBODY has gotten this ROM using Verizon to SEND an MMS.
If you have, please post how you did it. I have been trying to figure this out for two days. Every morning, I have had to flash back to Mighty & restore an SPB backup so I can use MMS. ~John |

Re: [ROM] [15/11/09] Juicy Rhodium_W R3 [SENSE UI] [XDA_UC]
Hi guys/gals,
Just to confirm, this ROM will not have any problem with tethering undetected right? I read the other thread, and it seems to affect only Telus users. I am with Sprint, and I do tether sometimes. I launch Internet Sharing by running IntShr.exe from Windows folder. Thank you. |

Anyone have an idea why my volume buttons don't work? I try to set it to silent or vibrate and it just freezes up my phone...very frustrating!
Oh, and what's with the HTC icons regenerating themselves in the start menu? The HTC People, calendar, footprints, music and twitter icons recreate themselves even after I move them to a folder in the start menu... |

I changed the settings in HTC's MMS, then I added the reg string to the WspHeader (previous directions from other sources had me adding this string to WspHeader2), soft reset, and voila--can send MMS through winmo client as well as receive and view them through same. UPDATE: While this works through creating and sending an MMS through winmo, trying to send a pic/video through Album results in (at least for me) the message getting stuck in the outbox. going to winmo's outbox and (re)sending the MMS sent the message. Also, I didn't do the manage networks thing. Just filled in the settings in HTC's MMS and added the string. |
Re: [ROM] [15/11/09] Juicy Rhodium_W R3 [SENSE UI] [XDA_UC]
I GOT MMS TO WORK!!! WHOOO!!!
Ok this is what I have done....I did the manage networks thing that everyone has posted about for verizon, for both verizon and cdma. Then I went and setup the mms settings that everyone has talked about. Then I installed this program, went to the registry and added the string name and value for it and closed the editor. Did a soft reset, ie pushing the button underneath the battery cover next to sd card. And violla |

Re: [ROM] [15/11/09] Juicy Rhodium_W R3 [SENSE UI] [XDA_UC]
One question for ya solipsist...did you have two WspHeaders in the registry or just one? I had two with one of them having a 2 at the end of it. I exported and deleted from there as I think it came from the disable cab i installed from here.

I've been fighting with this for many days also... I can confirm that it does work, and these guys aren't full of ****. No offense guys, it's just that when it works for someone else, and not for you after so many attempts you stop believing. :) Seriously though, I did what "Solipsist" said. Made the change in the registry, soft reset. I opened the same MMS message in the outbox that wouldn't send before, and it sent. Opened it on my wifes TP1, (Sprint), she got it. Sent an MMS back to my phone, guess what... Got it!!! It Works.... Thanks Solipsist!!! =D> (I soft reset, and sent one more before this post, so it does work) I hate to be so long winded, but I'm happy. |

Anyone get MMS working for Sprint?
if so how? |
Re: [ROM] [15/11/09] Juicy Rhodium_W R3 [SENSE UI] [XDA_UC]
No I am not getting mms to work for Sprint. I have done everything the directions said but a message still comes up saying failed delivery. I can see the pic in the mail program's inbox under mms in straight Windows but gets error message in manila. Think I have to just remove the ROM and go back to Sense 2.1 I need mms to work.

Re: [ROM] [15/11/09] Juicy Rhodium_W R3 [SENSE UI] [XDA_UC]
Earlier today I wiped my phone after backing up R2 via SPB BU and configured everything for XDA_UC .
(After waiting all day for Rapidshare to calm down) Flashed R3. Restored everything Flawlessly! MMS sending/receiving. Thanks to Noonski for the XDA_UC script. This rom is fast and very useful 4 my everyday uses. I will update tomorrow morning after showing it off in the cubicle world. |

These work for me...for those that I want as notifications (email, text etc), I just drop them into the windows folder on the device (not SD), and not in ANY folder, just windows...you may want to try that...of course you need to set them up under notifications (im sure u know this,,,but want to make sure lol) |

Re: [ROM] [15/11/09] Juicy Rhodium_W R3 [SENSE UI] [XDA_UC]
yea yea another post/question bout mms... i know but honestly for 1 i read an keep up w/ this thread from day 1!!! an 2 this aint my 1st rodeo.
yea i read ppl posting how to's and they have mms working, but its been hit or miss w/ others. and every how to post differ from the next. 1. why is every1 saying install arsoft??? its already in the rom, explain whats the need for this 'double install'? 2. from what i read, there is NO way to send or recieve mms in the htc message tab. you need to use the wm email, correct? htc message tab/client = SMS only wm email = MMS 3. for sprint the settings for MMS are as follows, correct? name=SprintPCS; ip address= "BLANK FIELD"; port #=80; server address= http://mms.sprintpcs.com/servlets/mms; connect via=sprint; send limit= 1024kb; wap version= wap2.0 ? do you go to the following to put that information (this takes you to the htc client settings): scroll to txt message tab/click "all messages"/click (right softkey) "menu"/click "settings"/ click "options"/ click (right softkey) "menu"/ click "MMS server"/ tap the server availible to edit??? ----or---- ? do you go to the following to put the above information: scroll to email tab/click (right softkey) "menu"/click "MMS options"/click "servers" tab/ set "1" as default (as i have 3 options, all 'SprintMMCS')/then click the default 1 to edit??? ----or---- do you have to do both (but to me, it only makes sense to do the wm 'arcsoft' settings cuz thats the 1 that only works for MMS) *in order for myself to "edit" the arcsoft server settings i had to input/change the reg. that was posted by Dwizzy130* (will edit post once i find the exact 1 i used) i can only recieve MMS and NOT send pls can you (only if you confirm both send/recieve WORK on sprint) inform me on what i'm missing 'steps''reg. edits' or to answer any of the above questions. i am trying to not install another arcsoft UNLESS it is needed but you have to explain why not just cuz. pls dont tell me 'go to post ***' or my fav. 'READ' (go back up and read my 1st sentence) thanks to any1 that can take the time, cuz i believe, if this post is answered in full, it will help not just me but many others |
