Although I like tweaking the way my UI looks...stability and functionality is most important...then speed...then looks.

After some functional tests...then I'll start my "customization" can always report back what works and what doesn't

working hard on R4, as a heads up i think it will CFC compressed which may cause headaches for those wanting to run Max Manila or weirdo Manila themes.... the good news is, is that it will run manila much faster and take up less space for the rest of the people that want a stock look.

thoughts?

I will SUPPORT ANY thing you add or subtract Juicy...
U DA MAN! R3 ROCKS:headbang: R4 will just be BETTER! (I don;t even want to try other ROMS now!

I do really like the 20 manilla apps though...but can live with 9 if thats the way you go :)

Is there a way to add a dedicated Program tab in 2.5?

is anyone having a problem with the music tab? when i play a song it plays for about 30 seconds and then just stops...no audible output. this happens with all my songs...windows media plays them just fine.

Hello All,
Juicy GREAT ROM! THANKS!

I too seem to have the music stop "bug".
Just in sense UI, not with media player.
I've searched but have not found a solution :(
Any advice?
Can't wait for R4!!!!!!

I've noticed the same thing, it never happened to me with any other ROM.

I have something like 800 mp3's on my 16 gig card.

I think this problem is related to the Gracenote app link that is supposed to update album art. There is a tiny little CD icon in the top left corner of the music tab (right under the start menu icon) that starts spinning when you first try to load music in the music tab.

I notice that if I open the music tab & that icon is spinning, the music will cut in & out like crazy for a while. If I wait for the icon to stop spinning before starting the music (& it takes a while) then the music plays perfectly.

I have not been alble to find a way to stop this from trying to update every time I select music in that tab (& it never works anyway)

Re: [ROM] [15/11/09] Juicy Rhodium_W R3 [SENSE UI] [XDA_UC]

If it makes it faster, by all means do it. I as well prefer more quick launch icons but can definitely live without if needed. One thing I will note, and purely optional, I just agree with a few of the posters about putting folders in the Start Menu to organize things a little. I always end up doing it regardless, so it is no big deal if that is the way you prefer to run your rom yourself. That is really what matters. We can adjust to our own tastes after the fact.

Looking forward to it.

I think they are still experiencing the volume issue, and think someone noted it continually re-buffering. I don't honestly use it that much, but every time I have tested it, it works here. But seems to be a lot that are having issues.

Can't wait for R4!! Any idea if TellMe will work with it? I am running it now and it seems to work fine but when i send a voice text it sends it out but somehow it gets stuck in my regular text application. I then have to open that up in order to send it... Voice recognition is pretty accurate though! Either way R4 is going to be a winner!

i think CFC Compressed is the way to go, it saves spaces and it speeds things up, what more could you want. The mod-makers should do this as well and will need to update their versions to folllow the trendsetters and make things compatible so i definately support what you're thinking.

i haven't been following this thread too closely since i still had my tp last week but noticed a few minor bugs, i dunno if they've been mentioned but this is one that i can remember off the top of my head, when u'r in device info (about phone) and u click on about, it takes u to the old battery control panel, do u plan to fix that link? and also update the battery panel to match the rest of the manila 2.5 system? the one that ones looks old school like wm6.1 days, very minor though

also i noticed a few more people think this roms needs a bit more organized start menu after i suggested it the other day, if this is something you're considering and might like to try out, send me a pm and i could help u out or show u (but i'm sure u know how to do that simple things, its just time consuming or maybe its just at the bottom of ur list of things to do or dont have time) or i could do it for you while u work on other things, i learned from one of the best :)

i'll probably keep flashing around different roms today like i did yesterday but i know i will be flashing back to juicy before i goto bed, i haven't found one yet that has the speed and stabillity and features of this rom, although mr.x and MM are pretty close up there in speed they dont have manila 2.5 :D

Re: [ROM] [15/11/09] Juicy Rhodium_W R3 [SENSE UI] [XDA_UC]

youtube misses more than it hits. When the sound acts up, it rebuffers so much that playback isnt possible. And the only way to fix this is to exit youtube...i've found out that this happens when i play 2 or more videos.

Something else ive noticed: If i add friends to the favorite list, and select the view contact card instead of a number, the contact card picture goes missing (not the contacts picture) in the bottom right corner. I dont know if this is facebook related because my contacts in my favorite are synced with facebook.

im in the process of saving all info. such as reg. edit, files an what ever i can think of so it makes my life easy everytime i flash/hard reset (well the most important reason is so my chick wont be mad @ me 4 taking so long setting up my phone)

so my question is what file is the bookmarks for opera10? i know opera9.7 file for the bookmarks is opera6, correct? (which can be found in windows folder) but for opera10 it doesnt have 'opera6' (opera10 files should be in programs/opera10) i found the 'wand' for the passwords but now all i need is for bookmarks.
thanks 4 any help

oh, also, is it possible to have a file (in xda_uc) to create shortcuts? an how could i do that? thanks agian

Re: [ROM] [15/11/09] Juicy Rhodium_W R3 [SENSE UI] [XDA_UC]

cant wait, I had some internet speed and drop issues so I flashed MM as a test (have MM as of this moment)

Juicy does your provisioning come from Juggalo X also? The reason I ask is I just flashed MM and I only have Verizon Wireless under my connection settings, not autoselect EVDA or CDMA1X and my internet speeds seem faster with his. I am wondering what is different??

I have the youtube error where it would not play the video after listing it, times out, but it could be related to the internet drops I was having.

I don't use Manila max and prefer the stock look myself, just want to change wallpapers

Thanks

Re: [ROM] [15/11/09] Juicy Rhodium_W R3 [SENSE UI] [XDA_UC]

i think opera 10 and opera 9.7 share the same bookmarks folders, when i tried opera 10 all my bookmarks from 9.7 were there, i added a new bookmark and then i could see it from 9.7 as well, i could be wrong though.

that brings up another issue i remember having, can anyone successfully add bookmarks from opera on the manila internet tab? for some reason either i would have to manually enter the url or it gave me just the bookmarks from pie, not opera

Re: [ROM] [15/11/09] Juicy Rhodium_W R3 [SENSE UI] [XDA_UC]

Might be too late to request addons for R4, but something that I would like to throw out there that I think others might find of interest as well, would be:

Action SoftKey: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=515421
Adds a very nice TF 2.5 Iconset for Quick Actions that are used a lot. I install it on every Flash. I find it great for quick access to Soft-Reset, File Manager, Camera etc.

Organizing Start Menu into Folders like: GPS, Internet, Utilities, Multimedia etc. Not really wanting to copy off other roms, but I do find the organization much easier to get to what I am after than scrolling a few pages etc. I know with 6.5 you can move icons around but sometimes it seems easier to just go straight to the folder that holds stuff like that.

Those 2 things for starters, nothing I can't install myself, just trying to make the ROM look even more professional for stuff all of us seem to use it for.

When i get a text message or any other notification, it goes into the screen that TELLS ME there's a new text message and then i can press it to go there.

Is there anyway to by pass this step so when i get a message i can hit the envelope and read the message? Hope this makes sense...

Hide the messages tab.

Settings --> Personlize --> Home Screen Tabs --> Uncheck the tab
