Is it possible us Sprint users could get a clear answer added to the first page on how to get Sprint messaging working?? Why is this such an issue with every rom??

youtube work great here, delete the youtube folder from your storage card and the windows folder and soft reset, that should do the trick

imtjnotu: There are issues with MMS and Manila 2.5, its not just this ROM.

Wirelessly posted (Opera/9.7 (WindowsMobile; PPC; Opera Mobi/35541; U; en; Presto/2.1.1))

Anyone know of a reg setting or cab that will make this rom go to the windows settings instead of the manila settings when you click start -> Settings. Thanks.

I like the rom but dont like how htc is hiding all the windows mobile interfaces. Like text and settings. I fixed the text now all I need is the settings and Im set.

i organized my start menu last night moving htc_people, htc_footprints etc into a folder. soft reset and the shortcuts reappeared with no icons, now i have two copies of each. Any fix to get these shortcuts to stop recreating themselves??

I just went from R2 to R3 and miss the lock screen. I know some hated it but it kept my pocket from dialing. Is there a way to get it back? I tried the reg edit with no luck. I know there are third party apps but I liked the befault in R2. Thanks

My company utilizes a wired SMS feature. they e-mail my phone and I receive it via Text message. then I forward that message to another e-mail address which marks the call as being received and status changes. when I use this rom It wont send out via e-mail but it does on others including stock and mighty. anyone know a reason why this would be?

did you hard reset after you flashed? because its 4:43 pm EST when i saw ur post, so i checked if i could send mms (just flashed to R3 at 3am and fell asleep before xda_uc finished) and it sent a 557k picture succesfully in under 10secs. i like how juicy put a progress percentage in the message sending bubble.

This did not resolve it entirely for me. Firstly I couldnt find a youtube folder on the storage card so I deleted only the one in windows and did a soft reset. It still didnt work so I closed it and opened it a few times while playing with the volume hard keys. I got volume once but then after I searched another video I lost it again.

Seems like there may still be issues with youtube on this ROM. :(

I just want to tip my hat off to Juicy for making such a smooth and responsive rom. This by far blow R2 or any other rom out the water! A few tweaks here and there and this rom is what i've been looking for and it could only get better in the future. Ima rock with this until your next release fa sho. Thx to everyone who had input in this rom as well, don't wanna leave none of ya out.

Im having a problem with the HTC messaging app. Im not sure if this has been addressed, or even if its isolated to Juicy.

Heres the problem. When I get a text message, the timestamp on the message is three hours ahead of the current time. When I send a reply, it is marked with the correct time. As a result, all my replies go to the top of the thread.

Anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it? Ive checked all the phone settings and I dont see a problem.

Guys, you really need to differentiate when you have solved problems specifically related to your carrier. I think that is where all the confusion and multiple posts ("no that doesn't work" or "yes it works") are coming from for SMS/MMS. MMS and SMS work just find after R3 install for VERIZON. You must update your MMS settings.

Within TF3D Messages>All Messages>Menu>Settings>Options>Menu>MMS Server>SampleMMSC:
Ip is left blank
Port #: 80
Server Address: http://mms.vtext.com/servlets/mms
Connect Via: Verizon Wireless
Send Limt: 1024kb
Wap Vers: WAP 2.0

Click "done." The only other things I changed were updating the registry entry with CDMA_RSSI_PPC.dll so that the data connection bars display correctly (there is a cab for this) and under communications>menu>connections>manage existing connections, I updated Verizon Wireless and CDMA1x connections with the username (use your cell number) "5551234567@vzw3g.com" and password of "vzw". Saved, restarted phone. I'm using SMS just fine through TF3D and when sending MMS, either go into winmo side or your photo album and send MMS that way. It opens up the ugly old looking winmo texting and sends/receives just fine for me. Winmo may work for sms too, but I don't care to test it as I don't use it except when I have to (mms). Again this is for VERIZON TP2.

OK.... I did everything as you have it outlined here... When I attempt to send an MMS through "Album"... It tries to send the message 3 times, it never goes, the it finally says it can't send message. You are the only one that has confirmed functioning MMS for Verizon. Please assist if you have the time.

Well I just installed the new R3 rom and it seems as though my data is not working. I cant get on the internet or update my weather. I tried the verizon provisioning since I own a Vzw TP2 and it didnt work, so I tried the generic provisioning and still no dice. I have updated my PRL as well and still nothing. Any suggestions?

Re: [ROM] [15/11/09] Juicy Rhodium_W R3 [SENSE UI] [XDA_UC]

Did you update your network settings with yournumber@vzw3g.com as user id and password is vzw? That's the only other thing I updated. I updated both Verizon Wireless and CDMA1x. Try a reset afterward. The only other things I can think of, I updated it with *228 then 1. I assume you have unlimited data...

I only receive the error where it attempts to send 3x and fails IF I attempt to send a MMS through TF3D. You are trying to send the MMS through Windows' default messaging app correct? Its the MMS app that you can get to by going to your email inbox>menu>Goto>SMS/MMS>New>MMS>Custom (do you have an email address setup, I do, I think you have to already have an email setup to access the mms portion)

settings>wireless controls>press the words data connection (not where the on/off is at)>manage existing connections> then click the radio button for verizon wireless>edit. save that. then go in and do the same for CDMA1x. Press OK. Then click the advanced tab>select networks and make sure it is either the Verizon Wireless or the CDMA1x for the upper drop down box. Press ok. Restart the phone. All of this may not need to be done, but thats what I updated and my data, sms and mms works fine. I'm on Verizon's unlimited data and 2000min plan with tethering.

What all did you attempt to do in fixing the data issue? Did you update the data connection settings and try *228? Are you sure you are on a Verizon tower (not roaming/extended network)? Is it showing EV or 1x?

Ok I just did a hard reset and did the generic provision. Just did *228 then pressed 1 to activate, restarted and then did *228 pressed 2 to update PRL and restarted. Everything is working now. Thanks a lot guys :)
